Please accept my condolences to you and your family over the loss of your friend. as you say he will be at rest now but you will be sure to miss him which will be hard I'm sure. Golly I remember your soup and was sooooo envious ;) but I doubt I would have done your soup justice like you have done. The pieces are just so inspiring and wonderful. God bless.

I remember when I visited Chelsea a few years ago my favourite was also a 'ramshackled' one it was an overgrown garden that nature was to have reclaimed and I loved it to bits.

I absolutly love BBC Gardener's World Live show (i went 3 years in a row 2004 to 2007, miised it in 2005 due to birth due date being the same week) but don't enter me in the draw for tickets. I couldn't pssibly find the cash i need for train fare and B&B (hence why I haven't bought tickets this year), just wanted to let you know I love your blog just they way it is.

Well a lot of what has been said is what I would have also said and totally agree with the view that segregration of kids from adult lives are not tho their advantage or ours unless it relates to something above their maturity. Just simply teach them to be respectful to others regardless of where they are and that would make most visits anywhere better for all.

Like you I also prefer to go on my own, for no other reason that i get more done but the girls are quite good now and don't disturb me too much, I try and include them in few tasks if they are willing. I was lucky and got hubby to go with me the last visit and made use of his muscles too :)

I think its great that you have commited to the word even though you had not shared it with your reading public. I don't think I would pick a word for fear that I may not commit to it but ignore my fears and yours, as Sarah said tell those whispering voices to shut up!! Enjoy your ACTION filled year I think its going to be fun ride. :)

I keep making list to organise my life and keep having to remake them as none seem to be sticking, though that could just be my lack of commitment to said lists ;)

I went to it a bout 5 yrs ago and didn't enjoy it much and not because I was on my own, there was just so many people I could barely get a glimpse of the gardens. So I now prefer to catch it on the telly as i see more of the displays that way. I love going to Hampton, way more fun with or without company.

My times are fairly varied but my allotment site is small, so I lock the gate behind me, that way I always no when some one is coming in or wants to get in. Also 2 out of 3 times I have a kid with me.

I am the opposite I think, becoming a mother gave a confidence to walk my own way more than before. That doesn't mean that I don't have self doubt issues but who doesn't. Congrates on making it to the finals and keep your eyes on your own goal posts not others, well thats what I try to do. Happy Friday to you.

If you have read my last few blogs in the last couple months ago on http://kellasvegeplotandothermusings.blogspot.com/ then you would know that I am also an inhabitant of Rubbish Gardener Planet I got there due to complete lack of gardening motivation and have also been worried that there will be no overflowing trugs of vegetables to harvest this summer, well its kinda hard to get veges if you don't sow seeds! Last week I suddenly felt myself comming alive and sowed like the dickens last week, now I worry that they won't germinate as punishment for my lack of get up and get go this spring. I say we hold hands and jump ship together, we are sure to survive the descent back to Lovely Gardener World, if we help each other out. Ready set JUMP!!, bye bye Rubbish Gardener Planet, toodles.

Good luck with the revamp, sounds like it will be fab when its done. I have been attempting to revamp mine for as long as we have lived here. Every year I get started and every year so far it gets left behind in the list of things to do. Well there is always this year, maybe...
