Looks like it was a great event! I love that it's so easy to donate and enter to win a washer and dryer. While I have a newer set those sound AMAZING. Maybe you need to give your little guy a hammer and tell him to whack that old dryer? Just a thought. ;)

It is so frustrating to here that people find local food a waste of money. There is no win here. You either use aid to buy junk and get criticism and unhealthy or you buy fresh and are healthy but there are judged for making good choices. I worked at a farmer's market last summer, and was thrilled when people would bring special checks they receive to purchase fresh, local food. We would always throw a little extra in their bags. The great thing? They had to buy fresh, not processed, so even our apple butter couldn't be purchased with the checks. The problem? They only got 2 per season for a total of $30. I wish they got one weekly since the market had so much to offer.
