Eastern Europe was like N Korea. When I went to the Commie occupied Yugoslavia, everything was 1950's old. All the buildings were gray, like they had no paint. A really hopeless and sad looking place. The tour, as a condition of entry, gave us a sum of the local money which we were required to spend there or forfeit to the government on departure. Do you remember when I took you to the USS Alabama in Mobile with Daniel and Frances? She called Sat to tell us she will be here Mon night. Surprise daddy! The pic of the DMZ looks just like when I was there: Cold, Gray, & Lonely. Green Bay just won the Super Bowl in a boring game with boring commercials. We rescued a little puppy from the the street.
