Excellent advice. I'm only a premed, but my youngest child has some complex medical issues and we've had more than our share of experiences with doctors. The ones who take the time to listen always get a better picture of my little medical mystery. We've switched a few specialists because they were not good listeners and were missing important facets of her condition. Our initial neurologist was so bad about this our pediatrician even wanted us to switch because he was ignoring her insights as well!
I found the lead-in very interesting, too. As part of my undergrad work, I'm taking Human Sexuality and that fits right into what we've been covering recently (Kinsey, Masters and Johnson, ect).
