I have been married to my jr. high sweetheart for 30 years. We have two beautiful boys and I am living my dream as a stay-at-home mom.
Interests: i like blogs-both reading others and keeping up with my own. i like lots of different things at different times in my life. i like to read, sometimes. i like to knit, sometimes. i like to cook, sometimes. i've decided to embrace this haphazardness as part of being a gemini. i love astrology, the color code and other personality theories. i also like photography and hosting parties.

roots and growth.
It's been a big growing year. Our family is growing. The business is growing. And personally, I'm working on growing and creating some new friendships. A lot happened in really quick succession this summer to make me realize I needed to do this. I think it really started when I wrote this post...

Words | The Home Key
Recently I started another creative writing course held on Tuesdays in Burlington. Last week I received a note from my instructor, Brian Henry, asking me to do a "Show and Tell" piece for the class. The parameters were broad: pick something to show and then tell about it. Simple enough. Ha! I st...
I am leaning towards Doris and Philippa's point of view. I think the kids were trying to say they missed him too. Kids have a hard time expressing and communicating their feelings. Plus, you have no way of knowing the real intent behind texting, emailing and SnapChat. You can tell how a person feels about you by the tone of their voice and other clues when you talk face to face. That's the best form of communication. I hope they were trying to tell Zach they missed him! :)
It was a good day....
I have had a very busy past couple of days. I am happy to say that our visits to the orthodontist are now almost over. Yes, all of our kids (except Matt) have had braces. It was a good day to have Ty's taken off. I admit, I have been known to miss some (many) appointments over the last 9 years o...
Lovely photo! You are awesome! :)
real right now | reframing my days
I am an introvert and the way I recharge my batteries is by being alone. Alone to ponder, alone to listen to music, alone to read, alone to craft. Alone to me is not lonely. It is restorative and boosts my perspective. Being around people, constantly, is draining. Always having to be "on". So...

Project Life | Process
I seem to live my life in my vehicle. Kids here, kids there, even with schedules changing, time in the truck stays constant. In short, we have incredibly full schedules and I have to admit that often that gets in the way of my doing things I enjoy, but I'm good at keeping up with those things I ...

STATE DRILL- crafting with Epiphany Crafts
I came home from CHA and less than 12 hours later I went to STATE DRILL competition at UVU with McKay and the team. McKay informed me the last day of CHA that "WE" needed to do a motivational for the team and coaches. By that it meant ME. ha! It was the last hour of the show and I was right besi...
Lee, I think you are the perfect candidate for Project LIfe. I have been doing it for three full years and I don't regret it for a second. I used it as my all around scrapbook this year and filled three full albums. I, too, can't wait to see how yours evolves. Happy Twenty Twelve to you!
525,600 minutes + 1,440 more
Are you familiar with the song from Rent? As the chorus goes: 525,600 minutes, 525,600 moments so dear. 525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year? In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffee. In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. In 525,600 minutes - how do y...
Can't wait to see your Week in the Life album. Mine is only about half finished. I've been on vacation for a week, so I'm hoping to work on it when my kids go back to school next week. :)
Reflections | July 2011
Are you getting tired of hearing that we were busy? Well, this month things did slow down ... a tad. The pace was a little different with more spontaneous days and complete lack of structure. I have to say, for a control freak like myself, it was a challenge! Adding to the slower pace: our ann...
