To Everything ere has been fun, the support staff has been great in helping me get back in here after my old way of logging in no longer wanted to work. All so I could tell y'all that I have moved my blog. Basically I've acepted Xavier's notion that a new year begins on November 1 and I wrote the word NEW in big letters in my new art journal, bought new shoes, and there were several other signs that NEW is the thing I need. So once again I've moved to This blog will stay up because... Continue reading

Because I need to decide if I'm following Xaver's calenday and starting the year I turn 40 on Saturday or holding out a few more months and going with the calendar most people follow. Missing some of the things I was doing with the art journal, and maybe I should have copied the pages, but in the long run I'll have to be fine. The words ended up in my regular longer deeper in thought typed diary. le vingtieme siecle la vie electrique is worth looking up for neat art work. Started and frogged and started and frogged a scarf,... Continue reading

Been around people who if their mouth is opening is complaining? Yeah. Well, with the OS and photo viewer updates my old camera doesn't quite talk to the computer, I could use a card reader but f**k it. So there aren't any in progress shots, just what I took with the iTouch which will now be my daily general use go to camera. In short the "art journal" was looking more and more depressing as I went through it and I really wasn't wanting a record of three cars, two car totalling accidents, and one Blarney medicated with Monsters. After... Continue reading

No wonder I was allowed to replace my first Classic with a better Classic for next to nothing a few months ago. Good thing is this should last me a good five years, and the Touch 5 better, so by the time I have to get a new music and video disraction device I'll be able to combine them in to one. Or I could feed some small country for a year. I'm sensitive, but I'm not that sensitive. But the old one was running great until the battery just wouldn't charge any more. I also got extra points for... Continue reading

Is there any way I can repay you? We'll just imply there is. something something BATMAN! Otherwise I messed up my back having to pick up the guts of several pillows and a sleeping bag, they could have made a bigger mess if they tried, so I can't sit comfortably or even reasonably so at my work table. Because of them we don't have any soft furniture either. You had an ugly couch but I eated it. And I'm still on don't let them tear out their stitches watch so I can't lay down. It'll work it's self out like... Continue reading

On Phantoms of the Whatever who have nothing to do with Andrew Lloyd Webber because... Winslowwwww! (I have Simon the Red Wiggle doing Music of the Night and The Final Lair somewhere) And I haven't red the book yet. I started but when I did I wasn't ready to read it, know what I mean. Starting with Lon Chaney in the 1925, 1927 or 9, Watsman House print. Still trying to untangle everything about it but most people have seen the Eastman House print. I think the 1927 or 9 version is the one they restored but someone put together... Continue reading

You know when you want to watch a movie that you generally wouldn't but someone you like is in it for five seconds. Nicholas Rowe (Young Sherlock) is in a Chucky movie. Being Schlocktober I saw one was on. Yeah, it wasn't even the right movie. Not that anything else I would want to watch is on today. Not like I have a wall of DVDs. But genrally during my "working time" the TV is on for noise to cover up the more annoying noises going on in the house. Know what I mean. DVDs are for sitting down and... Continue reading

He needs real candy because we're not spending the day out and about worrying the Re Ment is going to fall off of him. Basically he's the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, created by Roald Dalh who loves kids and portrayed by Robert Helpmann who didn't have any kids but enjoyed their company. We will also be close enough to a Mac store to make this a reason to stop by for a few pics. I have IOS 8.... The template based figure. The cross stitch. An inch a day is serious progress on this. Gallop faster, I... Continue reading

But Svetlana Boguinskaya might have been the last who you'd believe could sneak up on someone with ninja skills, choke squeeze them do death with her thighs while shooting a machine gun, then seduce James Bond. That's from an exhibition/pro tour which is why she could do that little bit at the end. I have the same routine from a pro competition thing. Still, you have to wonder why you never see Svetlana and Catwoman in the same place at the same time. And that's why I spent a better part of this century looking for the right body for... Trying out inks and water colors. The Prismas might be drying out. The writing on blue was done while it was wet. This isn't water color paper but that isn't the point. And you can totally color with Crayola markers than take a wet brush to them for fun. I forgot I learned to do that back in the 80s but life does that to you. Xavier figured out what he's going to be for Samhain, he just needs a net. And we're thinking of stopping for a photo shoot on the way where ever from the ear doctor for... Continue reading

I hope it arrives on time. EEEEEEEEEEE! I have many if not most of the other crochet 100 books, the fairy tales will be coming with this one, but HALLOWEEN! There's a couple pieces in a general holiday book but HALLOWEEN! The doll stamp came in yesterday. Aside from still typing because I wrote a lot more than I thought and having to get my brads out I'd be trying it out more. I did a couple of stamps of it in my art journal. If the pieces are cut out and assembled it looks like she'll be a 1/6... Continue reading

They've been in there since the whole Blarney dying car accident thing and slowly they leak out. Especially because puppies/Titanic 100/Robin Gibb dying all happened about the same time. Still haven't listened to his TItanic album yet. I've been writing which always wins out. Made some more paper, tried a new way of drying which didn't really work. Done making paper for now. The more I make the more I think it's going to be too thick for the book project so I'll have to do something else. And sometimes you forget how freaky Robin's lyrics can be. Never forget... Because how freaking cool is this stamp for someone like me? Isn't that sweet? I've never seen it before. As for paper making if I can I'm going o make enough between now and my next birthday to make the pages for the idea for the Year I Turn 40 journal. The doll stamp is to go on the pages, like I did with the circus stamp and that junk journal, in different colors and configurations. I have a pink and a purple set of inking markers along with some Crayolas that work just as well. I just don't know... Continue reading

Dunno why, just decided to. Another one of those things it would be neat to have a wearable camera on while I do it but I con't budget for a decent one. And I believe when it comes to some stuff it's worth it to pay for a good one. There was another piece but it didn't want to cooperate. I had cleaned up the blender and water tub while I left that piece to dry on the what ever the not window screen part of it is but it didn't want to peel off without tearing apart. Several factors,... Continue reading

I charted it but I need to write it out and give it a try to see if it will work. My sample stitching is a smidge too large for the intended gage, but I can't go with a smaller hook for this thread, so I need to try a few other things. It's taking a good 2 days for tha paper mache to dry between sides so that has slowed the doll making down a bit. Nothing much beyond that. My brain is in the middle of a funk or a spell or a seizure so I can't do... Continue reading

Trying to take some of my doll making notes and advice to heart and do what's kind of worked in the past. A solid figure based a template is good, it only runs in to problems with the clays I use and my so-so sculpting. This is under the once I have an example it will be easier to copy school of thought and I'd like to copy what is generally my own little person not someone else's doll. These are the pieces to the previous one but you get the idea. Yes I traced it from a sculpting book... Continue reading

Because used analog books are almost always cheaper than digital books, or the same price, and some times you're just there at the store. The Aurthur book has friends, I just haven't really read them that much because I haven't caught Monty Python and the Holy Grail that much. Something might be telling me I should. Templates for a 1/6 scale solid figure doll. And tools for the wooden ones. I still don't have safety glasses for using the Dremel but most of the big cuts are done and it's fine work and sanding now. The drill heads are tiny... Continue reading

But I don't quite know what I'll do with them. I got it out because I thought I had an idea then I saw it and that idea isn't going to exactly work so I have to rethink things. Especially if the rethinking doesn't involve being in my chair all day. Otherwise it's another one of those mornings where... Here's a baby killer whale getting power washed. Posted Sep 30, 2014 at The Dolfie Littles blog Last year's attempt at a solid template based 1/6 scale figure to base further doll making attempts on was a good idea it just ran in to my limited skills. It's a great idea for doing a first figure and getting a hand on the scale and forms. The ting was I couldn't remember where I got the templates from and now I do. You still need some analong books kids. Immediate plans are to finish the purple green knitted wingspan. A plan has been made to go to the hardware store for new safety glasses before getting out... I like it, so far most of the songs are going on to my play list. Haven't liked an album like this since Achtung Baby, note to self get a copy of Achtung Baby because you haven't listened to it since you gave up tapes and only heard the Greatest Hits mixes because you like that version of Even Better Than the Real Thing. Really liking Sleep Like a Baby Tonight. As for my other favorite band right now... Because if you name her Gilda Goldstag and she's the treasurer it's a bit suspicious. Still didn't stop me from getting her. My bills are paid and I have food in my tummy so Monsters aren't really a problem. ~hopes this is it for this year because it's almost Power Team Elite season~ Gonna keep the box, I have a few other big ones, because I might put some Monsters back in. Maybe get a group of themed reroots or something, who knows. I have the other Mo too. Having twin guys isn't a problem as they have so few,... Continue reading

Not so much writing as cleaning up and editing beat sheets and notes in preparation for writing when I feel like writing. Just don't feel like much of anything right now. Did watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre so I'll know what's going on when I watch the commentaries. Having previewed Gunnar Hansen's book I'm more interested in those then the actual movie. I don't find it all that scary, mostly I'm interested as I've taken an interest in the history of horror movies and stuff to improve my horror writing and wanted to see it as it essentually is the first... I think for a moment I want to do something and I kind of start it and then I don't want to do it. Or I can only do so much while it waits. Redid my main charm bracelet. Waiting for some I ordered to come in, not sure if any of those will go on here. Some of the pieces on order will replace a couple of these. Then I've got to find a chain long enough for it but it's not for wearing. And there's more pieces due for this mess. A bit of knitting. A bit of... Continue reading

I'm starting to think the book I caught a peek of where I thought there were eyes on butterfly wings was actually a copy of the Codex Seraphinianus and this picture. It's oversized and the 1983 edition has a white cover. I don't know where the woman with a butterfly on her face comes from, I'm still looking at pics on line, but this seems to be the most logical conclusion. And after 30 years my memory can be a bit confused to what I saw. Well, I'm getting ready to type and see how comfortable this new chair is... Continue reading

Because I'm still not used to having an iDevice with an iCamera and then iForget iTook pictures. Ate there. Good food good prices. I like this ornament. Might have to get it. Those be wild donkeys. I charted out an idea for a pattern, I need to test it to see if it'll work but I need to want to crochet and find the time to do it. Finally turned the hammered dulcimer money in to a new comfy office chair. Put it together myself :) Now that sitting is more comfortable, and typing because this chair is at a... Continue reading
