This blog has been silent or I should say, I've been silent, for a very long time. In the beginning, this blog was to highlight and share those things I hold dear as a native Californian. But as time marched forward I couldn't find my inner voice anymore. I thought I was being boring and self indulgent. This little page wasn't adding anything new to the world. So I kept quiet. For the past several months, I've been mulling over the idea of using this little ole blog as a tool for my family genealogy research. I've seen were this... Continue reading

My thoughts are filled with the news of the storms/Hurricanes hitting the Hawaiian Islands. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those on the islands. May they stay safe. Continue reading

via koloadeb.typepad.com I was asked again, "Why do you like Kauai". As I began to type a response, I remembered this old posting. This is a great conversation starter, at least. Aloha. Deb Continue reading

This song brings a smile on my face, just like now, while writting this post. Oh yes, the days of when we would listen to records/vinyl (The Beatles, Elton John, ELO), eating Pringles and playing ping pong, all day long. These were the days of bell bottom jeans, platform sandels and cruising the El Camino Real. So without further ado......Crackerbox Palace! Continue reading
