Robert - that person would be me. :-) Two years ago, I also watched a few panels that severely flopped and wondered, "if I wanted to learn how to moderate a panel, where would I go?" Your advice is so spot on and I agree, there isn't a really good training program for moderators...especially surprising since moderators can make or break the value of the panel discussion.
