Nothing better than enjoying your work! And you look like you have fun where ever you go. This made me smile.

These photos are wonderful! Especially love the 2 boys in the wand duel. My 4 kids and I read the books as they were published over a span of 10 years. I've always wanted to scrap that experience because it was a unique time in literary history. Waiting for the next book to be published and all the fan fare and costumes that the books stores put on for each book. Now you've inspired me to plan to go to Universal with my adult kids and photograph that experience to add to the book experience! We live only an hour away but never been. (I'm waiting for a Fl resident annual pass deal.) Do you plan to scrapbook this story? I would be interested to see how you approach it because I love your work!

This is great! My head is spinning with ideas from this! The first is having my pre-school grandsons write their names in it. Maybe stick it on their bathroom mirror or windows.

Love your weekend Five! I miss NYC so much and really look forward to your photos of the city. I do hope you plan on doing a holiday 5. It would be interesting to see what you choose to photograph.

How fun. Some of your photos do look a lot like Kandinsky's paintings! Bright color bursting on dark backgrounds.

If I have to pick just one it would #6. Love the grid paper. But they are all beautiful and interesting.

Talent & Persistence! This is gorgeous. Makes me want to dig up my needle and threads I have buried around here. Thank you for sharing! I am a huge fan.

I look forward to your weekend 5 every week. Just love the little stories that go with them. I am also taking photos where non-camera people look at me and think weird things. The worst was taking a photo of my daughter at a Starbucks drive-thru. The employees got worried and asked her why I was was photographing them. (they didn't even get in the frame) I suppose they thought it was home office checking up on them. So I had to explain my photo-a-day habit to them. Too funny!
I can see lots of uses for these stamps! Adorable!
I love the idea of making a stamp of your word. My word for this year is JOY!

This is my first year doing PL and I wish I had starting record keeping this way when I first heard of it several yeas ago! I absolutely love it. This is such a quick and easy way to use all the paper and scrapbooking supplies I have been hoarding for the last 5 years! I did not have to buy anything new for this other than the style A pocket protectors. And it's the perfect way to showcase my "photo of the day" obsession. My 5 must haves are cardstock, stamps, Sharpies, MS Word and a printer to make my own custom journal cards. Thank you Julie for sharing your own special style of Project Life. It is like nothing else out there and I love your creative uniqueness!
This sounds exactly what I'm looking for! I love mixing colors and making my own but many times end up with mud. I would like to learn to avoid that and learn what types of colors can be mixed for a bright clear color. Thanks for the chance to win Julie! Kathy

I was at MoMA last year and was amazed by it and the fact that they let you take photos of the art work. (I took 100's!) Could have stayed there a week and not seen everything as well as I would have liked to. Lucky you to live so close! Thanks for sharing. Matisse is one of my favorites.
I like the 2 ships best for design, but the grass seed one for the verse. Difficult to choose!
Right now I'm focused on getting the backgrounds done in my journal. I'm at the last 20 pages or so. It took me over 2 1/2 years to get this far. I am always adding bits of collage items, paint and stamps to existing pages. I love that through this format nothing is ever really done. Truly a happy journey through a book that you don't want to end. Finally, I have a title for the cover. "The Never Ending Story"
I love and own all kinds of art books! My favorite is Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards.
I have been following your blog for about a year now and enjoy it so much! Especially inspiration Wednesday. I would like to know one thing. Where did you get your journal with the inclusions? Is that a premade journal with every other page cut down? Or did you make this journal yourself? I have checked your archives (and there are lots!)and have not been able to find the source. Do you have a link for it? Thanks for all your your inspiration!

You said truth, so here it is. 1. I collect every color in a product line so I can put them in ROYGBIV order. 2. Even though I dislike purple, I will get one token dark shade of it. 3. It makes me happy to spend 24/7 creating alone in my art room, accomplishing nothing. 4. I'm not comfortable around people unless I am at a crop or art class. 5. I probably have an undiagnosed disorder but I'm happy and suspect other creative people also have it.

Love that roller stamp! I also immediately thought of days-of-week underpants! My obsession is number stamps. Can't get enough of them.

Love them all! They are so versatile. My favorite Hops are the Wedding Ring and Leaf Grid. They had so many different ideas!! Very creative use of stencils. But this last hop with the stencils and stamps if really fun. The only thing better than stencils is stamps and stencils! Brilliant!

This is my first time visiting your site and I was amazed at the topic. This has long been one of my pet peeves about scrapbooking. Product mfgs have taken the 'scrap' out of scrapbook. I get that they need to sell, but 'out-dated' designs? Really? Will it matter 20 years from now when you're looking through your albums reminiscing? Will you think "OMG! I used 2006 paper/stamp/embellishment on a 2010 layout!"? I doubt it. It's the photos and journaling that matters. And the same goes for cards. Most normal people would be thrilled with a hand made card. I doubt anyone would complain that the creator used last years stamps. I find designer blogs very inspiring whether I can get the products or not. Making my own embellishments is part of my creative process. I think you have the right to use whatever inspires you! It's your blog.

Sad to say, I'm 60 and still get them! It's 'adult acne'. I had nice clear skin in high school but once I hit my 20's, bam. And they just kept coming.
