So is Jimmy doing some recruiting in coaches ? Wasn't Butch down on Campus and having dinner wi th a donor the other day? Now Schiano is getting picked up by Jimmy ? Wow
An Open Letter To Coach Cutcliffe
Dear Coach Cutcliffe, As a fan of college sports in general and the college football in particular, I have to admit that I am totally shocked and dismayed that a seemingly reasonable, mature, experienced man and coach as yourself could say such ridiculous and stupid things after a football game....
Wow
Post-Golden Era Begins Tonight At Duke
Tonight when your Miami Hurricanes travel to Wallace Wade Stadium to face ACC Coastal Division foe Duke (7 p.m. / ESPNU) a new era in UM football will start. Larry Scott will replace the fired Al Golden on the sidelines as the new head coach of the Hurricanes. Here are some quick facts about the...
Seantrel said Tressel is the most boring coach ever. Yeah that's coming from a guy that didn't do squat at UM. but I don't like tressel. He has a nice job.. President at Youngstown St. Why not hire Bo Pelini?
The Curious Case Of One Arthur Francis Kehoe
When you think of any of the most significant, long time, truly dedicated and experienced coaches at the University of Miami, the name of current UM Offensive Line Coach Art Kehoe has to come to mind first and foremost. Kehoe played and coached at UM through many of the National Championship y...
LaQ... I'm curious, why do u like Chud?
Posted by: 1mg of Epi | October 30, 2015 at 11:38 PM
Chud is a proven guy. Not only was he a coach here when we were clicking.
He goes to coach up Antonio Gates in SD, then goes to the Browns, coaches Kellen up and they have 4 people go to the Pro Bowl with Derek Anderson as the QB they go 10-6. Goes to the Panthers who before he came was one of the worst offenses in the NFL to a top ten O. I felt he didn't even scratch the surface with the Browns who went 4-12 his first and only season but they looked competitive as ever. He doesn't really have a job with the colts. Just helping a buddy out Pagano who is gonna be fired soon. Irsay Hayes him, he's getting paid to not coach thanks to the Browns.
My first choice would be him from a UM perspective, I don't want and don't think UM should hire a lot of former players of fill its stadd with UM . 2 maybe 3 from this current staff should stay but roles should be worked out. Anybody listen to Danny Stubbs on wqam? Why do we have Hurlie Brown coaching LB? When he was aa safety ? Why do we have Kareem coaching OLB when he was a DE ? Give me Ice,Hurlie and Beard.
Outside hire would be Herman. Not point in naming names that won't come if called. We had that years ago but we are in a much better situation than we were before. Could find more work for that defense but the offense is shaped out well.

I'm sure Art is just doing what he is coached to do. With this stupid offense he is running with more guards than tackles on the line . Milo and Dt.Louis next year should be starters. Shuffling the line in a lopsided loss made no sense.
If Cristobal comes in he is keeping Coley, he referred him to Golden, he would kick Kehoe out for some guy at Marshall.. ? Mel Tucker, I watch NFL and college, hiring HIM from Bama may be a bigger mistake than keeping Coley and not by far.
I'm for Chudzinski, he would bring in Dorsey to run the offense for sure . Yeah Chudzinski hasn't coached in college in years but he can coach.
Butch, yeah at 63 isn't ideal. But he could groom a successful coach like Chud maybe or Dorsey and we could play fast, physical and disciplined football like we did then.
My outside choice is Hermans, he can coach an offense. Proven track record. Young guy and up and coming.

I was wavering on Golden when he was flirting with PSU, I get it.. it''s your dream job and you had it.. but when he didn't speak for a week and Blake lied for him and Donna came out and told the truth, but that loss to FSU... that's when I was fully done. We had them, couldn't do any wrong, kids were pumped, foot on the gas and we .. let em off the hook. This year.. I wasn't happy, I said 6-6 . Hoping Blake with help from a board of skilled football savvy guys and ex players with Jimmy pick the right guy so we can go back to how things were.
Two Fails And A Fade = Mediocrity
Al Golden failed miserably. Many believed he could not fail, but Randy Shannon failed too. After winning a National Championship in 2001, and almost winning back-to-back BCS titles with a shot at number two in 2002, Larry Coker faded from our rear view mirror as fast as the hot South Florida...
I would love to see Ken come back, but I can't see him leaving a NFL qb coach job to this.. Reed is different, while the name and being one of the best safeties ever in the league is awesome he hasnt coached ever. While I am very sure he's better than Paul Williams I would rather have Rumph. Reed can break down film like no other.

I respect that, Geoff or Randy ? Dorsey, would love to see him as OC when Schiano, Cristobal or Chud get the call. Any holdovers from the old staff... Beard seems like he has tools, love Ice.
Golden Is Gone
Al Golden is a good man. Al Golden is an excellent public relations guy. Al Golden is nice person and decent human being. The only issue is, at least judging by his results and current employment status, Al Golden is not a very good football coach. That is a very sad fact indeed. And, since that...

Jimmy Johnson told me that he and UM athletic director Blake James have texted and “I let him know I’m available if he wants a sounding board” on the coaching search. A UM source said James will take J.J. up on the offer.
Yesss jimmy. That man loves UM, he's known Butch for YEARSSSS..
OGV, welcome back. Who would you like to see get a shot ? Top 5 or 10 ?

Raize, a lot of them wrote goof stuff about Golden, without him I wouldn't have gotten a short.. Coach is a good guy, wish him and the family well.
Couple that left did not say the best things.
Eddie Johnson asked could he come back ?! Lol
Whatever was in his contract he is guaranteed. 7 million over 4 years 2019.
I'm still holding out for Hermans. That's my #1 guy, I'd like to see Butch, he is campaignin for the job. He did just work with Schiano, and I'm sure they get along well enough to say let's do it together I would think so. Chud not being in college football for YEARS is a flaw to me, Cristobal may be good but man oh man. I just have issues with a OL coach, never worked for anybody.

So This Head Coaching Thing Is Hard?
Will Muschamp was a can't miss candidate when hired by Florida. Kevin Sumlin was gonna rock the world when hired at Texas A&M. Brady Hoke was certainly going to absolutely kill it at Michigan. Charlie Strong would surely be as successful at Texas as he was at Louisville. So after a few seasons, ...
Thanks soup, no idea what the bashing each other is about . I only wanna talk sports and mainly um sports.

that Dan Sileo is something else isnt he ? that rant is terribly said but he is spot on. I feel that Golden and D'No is making up excuses. It doesnt matter what you did at your last job... we are not living in the past. In the present future he is getting outcoached the past 2 games . 80+ points and 1000+ yards 1-1.

Most of the people in the 2 deep didnt play last year. Yes D.Smith was a starter but after losing 40+ pounds wasnt fit. Perryman,Chick and Gaines was their first year playing and McGee its his first full season as a starter and Telemaque hasnt done much in 3 years. Other than that you do have alot of youth.
