If you insert several blocks in a palette, can you make the property changes on one, then migrate it to the others.
Art I like how the layers fade out if they are locked but noticed “isolate layers” also had the lurking shadows, this I did not like. Don't know the variable but it can be controlled at the command prompt by entering "S" to change the settings and setting it to "Off" instead of "Lock and Fade"

Art, download SMARTools last week and played with it this weekend, looks like Hydratec has hit a homerun with SMARTools. As CAD was meant to be, changes to drops, hangers, and riser nipples are made simple now. Tutorial was good and learning curve was made simple by simply updating existing commands. Had a just a couple questions for Mike and sent him a couple things. Now for the wish list, I need to put defLines on mechanical engineers drawings, because I have yet to see another trade in our area perform coordination drawings per specs yet. I always seem to provide everyone with a cross section or two of the dreaded hallways. PS: Big improvements on the CPVC listing - it suprised me some of the fittings it picks now. Thought I posted this once already, so blame it on Y3K if it shows up twice.

Art, we do basically the same thing except we use a dynamic block with a zigzag line and have the grip points to snap to the real sprinkler and center of tile. Maybe in the future, hydralist and hydracalc will reconize a dynamic block of this type on the sprinks layer without the need for the additional head.

Art, I believe in saving our work, even our archive files that are packed in zip files and backed up. Everyone works off a shared network drive on the server, very little is saved to a local machine (even the 10 min autosave has its own directory on the server as stated in your post). The server has mirrored hard drives in case one goes down. I have 2 external hard drives that came with a little backup program $80 each, swap out nightly and one takes a ride home with me (most) nights. When a job is completed everything is purged and all related files are moved to a zip file for the project, which is then deleted after adding it to a zip file for that years jobs. I am working on of site backup to a machine at home, little problem with Verizon on that one so far.

We use the NVIDIA Quadro FX 540 and had problems until I disabled the nView Desktop Manager Features that came with the graphics card. This actually gave problems with many programs, all is well now.
