How do you go about finding the perfect pieces to fill your home? You know the type of pieces that make you clap your hands and pick it up and carry it around while you browse the rest of the store, just in case someone else has similar feelings towards it? Do you have a budget? Perhaps the better question is: "do you USE a budget?" Before you roll your eyes, yes; I am one of those people who reads every financial article, reads every 'new ways to budget' story and all of the ones that start something like "every billionaire... Continue reading

I've been thinking about ways to become and then stay inspired. It seems like the internet is always inspired. I think there's good and there's bad in that perception; the good being that there is always something out there that has the potential to fill you up and energize you... Continue reading

It is 34 days into a new year, really. You know how people tend to resist change unless their current situation is a misery? I fall into this category myself. Over the last several months I found myself facing a miserable boss and desperately seeking to change my employment situation.... Continue reading

I spent this past Friday night in the kitchen baking sweets and all kinds of heavenly things with my grandmother, mom and sister. Talk about good things. I haven't been spending as much time in the kitchen myself lately; baking, cooking, period. I've been feeling like it's too much work.... Continue reading

Hi Jennifer, thank you! I've seen drop cloth curtains and considered doing those too. How would you use yours outside? My little rug is holding up pretty well, it's been several weeks, makes me feel better about walking barefoot out on the porch. :)

Halfway through the 24 DIY series! I was totally smitten when I started seeing DIY rugs popping up on Pinterest and in blogland. Customizable, a normal amount of money, and a weekend project? Sign me up. I found myself pulled towards tribal patters like this one. The level of complexity... Continue reading
