The aroma of coffee and the aura shall we say of coffee always seems very appealing. But I think of it as something that goes with breakfast. Somedays I think I want more in the middle of my day - I opt for water and it seems to do the trick. I have thought about leaning more towards the au lait version to ramp up my milk/calcium intake. Maybe you should go that route. I also find cold coffee with vanilla flavored Silk to be a nice iced coffee variety. Good luck with your quest.

It's been 7 years since I purchased my home. The novelty has worn off. The paint needs to be touched up. But that concept of food and friends and fun and music is still there. It lurks in teh recesses of my mind. It comes out every so often - usually the holidays. It does manifest itself very often however... People dont spontaneously gather at my doorstep to do things... it is easier for the single girl to go to them. I dont need a babysitter and I dont have toys. So the concept is great I just dont think it comes to fruition all that often.

Oh and I cant mention the Pogues and not make comment on Shane MacGowan's teeth... He takes the stereotyping of British teeth to a new level... Kristy MacColl what a sad story... I always liked her voice.

I dont remember if it was Absolute or BBC Radio One - but one of them had the Pogues song as their number one all time Christmas song this year...

This is one of those songs I like to think I can sing along to... preferably in the car with it turned up real loud. This evening I tried while cooking in the kitchen... Same good feeling effect. Not sure how Bacchus feels about it.

I forgot to answer your question the other day... Yes, I like Travis. They come up on my Stereophonics radio on Pandora all the time. I listened to them on grooveshark the other day as well. Of course that search also resulted in music by Travis Tritt, Randy Travis and Travis Barker - not a fan of any of those....

it opens up by saying it isn't a love story and the way they cut it - day 1 to day 380 to day 9 to day 105 - lets you not get too sucked into the relationship... you know an end is coming from the onset... so from that perspective it keeps it from being too sad... and i really enjoyed the music selection

You wore fake eyelashes to the Robert Palmer concert? Oddly enough this video reminds me of playing some crazy game of tag on the beach (Main Beach Manasquan at night) with Danielle and I think Sandy and maybe Debbie. The tag was Danielle's idea. And I remember Sandy and that infectious laugh. Running on the sand is just not easy.

Your posting of this song shocks in me in the irony of your timing... Just last Friday (the 19th) I was sitting in my friend's backyard enjoying a warm Spring evening. The friends I always end up singing into spoons with. Somehow we got on the topic of this song. It was the controversy of "what are the real words to that one verse?" According to wikipedia - cut loose like a deuce - moments when I love my Blackberry. I just think it is funny this song was on your mind too. As for the Jersey girl reference - me and the other Jersey girl present knew the Springsteen connection - the others did not. And on that note the conversation changed to Bon Jovi and Giants Stadium. When you cant beat 'em join 'em.
