Love shoes. Love shoe life posts. Congrats on your new adventure new shoe!
this is yet another story about shoes.
(If you're new here, this is the original shoe story and here's the second shoe story.) Once upon a time, the shoe on the left looked like the shoe on the right. And then in just over two years (!) the shoe lived a full life. The shoe became "the main shoe" in the summer of 2012. It walked the...

Over the past few months, I've talked about maxi skirts and clutches. As I was thinking about posts for fall, I knew I had to write about scarves. And then I thought to myself, "that will be the end of the fashion round-ups...scarves are the only other thing I obsess over...except for good t-...

Love this! The photo of you and your sweet girl reminds me of the Gustav Klimt painting, The Kiss. So gorgeous.
oversized photos in our dining area.
One of my goals for this month is to get more photos printed and framed. I have had a few projects in mind for awhile and this is the first one. Remember when I shared my idea for the dining area? My "sketch" showed a big fiddle leaf fig in the corner and two oversized framed photos. W...

Admiring E's Wall
Little man was sick at the beginning of the week. This is really the only time he slows down, snuggles and gives me a break. As we were lounging in his room I was admiring his wall (the only completed one in the house) and all of the creative people... Continue reading

i love when you redesign your blog. fresh! and thinkin' i'm gonna need that vacuum, but it might need a side car for all the dirt on in my ranch house! ;)
making me happy.
Loving, loving, LOVING the quiet this week. Online. In the house. In my brain. So good. And so appreciated. I had a few girlfriends in town this past weekend and it was a reminder that I adore having my house full. It's so easy, when alone and decorating, to get caught up in how a space w...

I Want to Remember....

Looks so awesome, love your 'just do it' attitude. And seriously creating custom furniture that works for your space, genius!
DIY media cabinet.
I am seriously having a love affair with a piece of furniture. The backstory here is decorating a house is hard. And I've got my mind spinning a bit trying to get everything "right" in this new place. It's a tricky thing - the house was built in 1961 and it totally has a mid-century vibe. ...

Just gorgeous! That stain makes it look very rustic which I love. As for the succulents I gave my friend one and a leaf fell off, she just put it into the soil and it's looking better than the rest of the plant!
DIY wooden plant stand.
One of the first projects my mom and I talked about when we saw the house on my birthday last month was how I needed something in front of the big picture windows. The windows are gorgeous and even though the backyard needs work, it's pretty and gets great light. I wanted something that didn'...
Ooooh, you are swaying me to want to go smaller with PL. I'm already large and in charge with 12x12 this year. But 14 watch out I will be small but mighty. You crack me up with your wood veneer MUTHAFUCKAS. Always such great design with a little kick! And totally agree about talking about, thinking about and just plain crafting. Say, question, where did you get the coin pages for that size? Love what you do, seriously you rock.
christmas cart
This year is quietly moving along. Like everyone else, I've been busy cleaning out, focusing on having and wanting less. Trying to streamline and limit the clutter. My Christmas gift from Tim this year, an acrylic rolling bar cart, is part of that. It is the perfect resting place for my always ...
His and Hers: Muck Boot Edition
Our boots hang out together in the mudroom. They probably spend more time together than Josh and I do! Eli is the center of our universe pretty much everyday. And if it's not Eli, it's the cows (those pregnant ladies are SO HIGH MAINTENANCE!). Nurturing our relationship is just as... Continue reading
