It's been a crazy week here at Little Free Radical HQ between having a sick mini-assistant and rushing a few custom orders to waiting customers and we didn't get a chance to draw a winner for the Dr Seuss Earth Day Giveaway. So, now that my mini-assistant is feeling better, we did the drawing. We took each comment/entry to LittleFreeRadical's Earth Day GIVEAWAY - The Lorax Book & Cloth Balls post, cut them and put them into a bucket for my mini-assistant, Sophie to draw a name: The Winner is KARA!!! Kara - send us your address and we will... Continue reading

"I speak for the trees, for the tress have no tongues."~ Dr. Seuss, The Lorax And so it's Earth Day, 2011. Seeing as I'm an environmental science and health major, I thought today would be a perfect day for another giveaway!!! I was trying to decide what to do for Earth Day last week in Barnes and Noble when I saw The Lorax and thought it seemed like the perfect Earth Day book for a child! Actually, I think it's great for a person of ANY age! My professor for Humans in the Environment class let us end one of... Continue reading

I was just going to use, but it was freezing up so I just did it the old fashion way. I expected Sophie to try and take ALL the numbers, luckily she just picked one, and then proceeded to try and eat it. ;)

When Moolala ran their deal last month, I quickly grabbed a few sets of their mini-cards. I love their cards for my Etsy Shop, and wanted to share moo love with a few friends! But, today at midnight, EST the deal ends... and I have one extra set so I figured, why not do a free giveaway today with the last set to share a little moo love! :D So here's the deal: I'm giving away my last code for 100 Eye-Catching, Full-Color MiniCards from ($20 Value) to one lucky winner! The only thing is, you'll need to... Continue reading

Did you know that this Friday - April 15th is National DNA Day? National DNA Day is a unique day when students, teachers and the public can learn more about genetics and genomics! The day commemorates the completion of the Human Genome Project in April 2003, and the discovery of DNA's double helix. For more info, see the National Human Genome Research Institute. Little Free Radical will be launching a few new products in honor of DNA Day to benefit various genetic diseases! Keep an eye out this week in the store for products currently in production! :) Continue reading

I remember sitting in 10th grade chemistry class, being introduced to the periodic table of elements, and staring at it thinking, “There’s NO way I’m going to remember all of this!” As a 15 year old, spending an hour a day learning about atoms, molecules, and electrons was the last thing I wanted to be worrying about. All those carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen molecules looked boring, carbohydrates were ‘bad’ anyways according to my mother’s newest diet book, Sugar Busters. And why should I care so much about free radicals roaming around? I was more interested in Life Sciences and Home Economics,... Continue reading
