Paint Sprayer vs. Spray Paint
Over the weekend, I was spray painting...as you can see from the yard. I used both my paint sprayer and cans of spray paint, and thought I'd give you a little info on both and when and why I use each. A couple years ago, Cheryl and I each bought ourselves Wagner Power Painters. We were tired...

Awesome, Diana! Knew they were more old book lovers out there:)
Textbooks, Vintage and Antique
The first day of school seems like the perfect opportunity to share some of my vintage and antique textbooks. Many schoolkids are carrying personal electronic devices to school this year as their textbooks, which makes me even more sentimental about these beautifully created old books. Can't i...
Thanks, Diana! Will certainly have to join your party more often, now that we found you!
Drawer Memory Boxes
Finally finished up a client project last week that I thought would be fun to share. It's a great way to use up some extra drawers that you may have laying around, and create some sentimental art for your home. The project started with my client's desire to preserve and appreciate her families...

Thanks, Sharon! It was a fun project!
Wool Blanket Bunting
We've been known to cut up old quilts and tablecloths, saving what can be saved, to create bunting, and coasters, and placemats...well, it's fall, and there were a lot of beautiful, yet not perfect, blankets laying around my house! Once I knew the pile of blankets was freshly laundered, I ...
I was hoping we'd have enough time to visit Franklin, because I'd noticed there were quite a few of my kind of shops there...goal for next time, I guess! Thanks for reading!
Nashville: Sights and Sounds
You know what you do on spring break when you have a junior? Yep...look at colleges. This year was the year for a road trip, checking out Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee, a city we'd never visited before. And it was a blast! Nashville is, of course, known for it's music. We learned...

A Million Little Ways by Emily P. Freeman: Medicine for my Soul
I have been reading a lot these last few months. Books. Not magazines with pretty pictures; books with no pictures and lots of words. Inspiring words from inspiring authors. Which is unusual for me, because I'm usually more of a doer and not a reader. Maybe it's because my hands, my back, and ...

Cheryl,
Oh, the challenge of technology...it will never end, will it? I'm hoping for a technology-free Heaven;)
Cameras: Some Things Old, Something New
I went to National Camera's annual tent sale last week in search of an SLR camera. I've blogged for 6 years now with a point and shoot Canon, and it's served me well, but the beautifully, clear images I'm seeing all over the internet made this vintage-paced lady decide I can't put the learning...

Oh, boy! This makes me so thankful for my screen porch where I shoved everything, until I have the patience & cooler weather to go through it all!
Making Room For What Matters Most
We can actually see the carpet and easily walk around the storage room. Previously you had to have your flamingo legs on to high step and navigate all the obstacles on the floor. This isn't going to be a pretty decorating or inspirational blog post today, it's one of those "life as it happens"....
