If you don't like your taramosalata very salty, you can use dried bread for toast instead of potatoes. That's what I do. 6-7 big slices are enough for 250 gr of tarama. I soak them in cold water and squeeze them well before blending them with the tarama.

That's a great tool, Anastasia. Technology should be part of the education of our children - especially when learning a foreign language.

I was wondering what to cook for lunch today and you've just given me a bright idea. Aubergines are great at this time of year and a healthy option too. So I'm off to the supermarket to get my aubergines.

I find Larnaca a very peaceful and relaxing town and I often come even for just a while to breathe some fresh air by the sea, have a swim or simply have a frappe at one of the lovely cafes at Finikoudes. It's only a 30-minute drive from Nicosia and it's worth it. I always return feeling refreshed. You are lucky to live there.

I personally liked the UK song much more than the one from Iceland - both were ballads - yet Iceland came 2nd and the UK 5th. I suppose televoting is quite unpredictable...

I watched the first semi final on Tuesday, so I haven't seen all the songs yet except Greece and Cyprus on Youtube. Tonight it's the second semi final, so I'll tell you my top ten tomorrow. I also liked Greece, Island and Malta but I honestly did not like our song!

It was really nice you could get away for a while - I imagine how hectic the end of a school-year can be! Lefkara is one of my favourite villages in Cyprus as one of my uncles still lives there. Whenever we visit, his wife cooks for us the famous ttavas lefkaritikos. Last year, I purchased an embroidered bed cover - to me it's an investment in a great work of art.

God gave us life and only He can take it back - whenever He decides. And then you never know the will of God. Miracles do happen like in the case of my father who was in a coma for about a year after a terrible car crash. My siblings wanted us to pay a doctor and euthanase him after he had spent 6 months in a coma. But I refused. I kept visiting him every day and spent time talking to him, encouraging him. I could feel he could hear me. One day, on my regular visit, a doctor came to me and said: "Your father has recovered". Even the doctors were unable to scientifically explain this recovery. I agree with Andy and I believe in palliative care.

I've been on multiply for quite some time now, but I don't feel happy there, so I'm considering moving to Blogger. I think that for a free site it offers a lot of cool tools.

That's a brilliant video, Anastasia mou. Thank you for sharing. I attend the Epitaphios service every year and when I hear the Egomia, I feel deeply touched but also glad to look forward to the Resurrection and Easter.

Stefanie is right. Maternity is a miracle and abortion is a crime. In case the baby is still unwanted after it's born,it can be given for adoption. There are many childless couples who would be so willing to offer that baby love and affection
