One of the most wonderful things about being a wedding blogger is the fact we get to share pure joy - beautiful moments filled with love and happiness that inspire, uplift and sprinkle our working days with real little bits of magic. One way I love sharing this joy is through films. Wedding films have undergone such a huge change in recent years - wobbly hand-held camera action and cheese-fest productions with screens framed in love hearts have been replaced by the most sublimely crafted, cinematic style productions, just like this one I'm sharing with you today. I absolutely love... Continue »

Good morning lover, now if any of you are feeling a little flat this morning, let this wedding be a reason to cheer you up. Bride Gemma's smile is infectious, don't you think? Love My Dress reader Gemma tied the knot with Craig on 29 December last year at Dodford Manor in Dodford, Daventry, Northamptonshire. "Craig and I are basically childhood sweethearts – we met at 'Tubes Nightspot' in Melton Mowbray – where all great romances begin, well something like that! I was 17 and Craig had just turned 18 and we have been together ever since. In fact the... Continue »

I recently featured this extremely beautiful and intimate Irish beach wedding ceremony. It was quite a special feature for my blog - knowing that Love My Dress had played a role in the wedding itself. The ceremony was non-religious celebration that was conducted by Life-Cycle Celebrant, Shevaun Rafferty. I got chatting with Shevaun recently about how she works with couples to personalise their wedding ceremonies - so that the very truest essence of their love for one another can be expressed through words and gestures on their wedding day... What is the most romantic way you can think of to... Continue »

Last Friday, I shared some preview images from the new 2012 Collection from designer Chez Bec. Ultra feminine, romantic pieces with a gentle vintage twist form the body of the latest collection. A plethora of headbands, hair combs and hair pins, along with a delicious collection of jewellery, make up the new 50-piece 2012 Collection. Today I'd like to celebrate some of the creative energy that went into this shoot, as well as show you a little more from this very beautiful collection of bridal headpieces and accessories. Beautiful bows, vintage-inspired lace and lashings of chiffon combined with divine appliqués... Continue »

** Since posting this blog feature, I have previewed some of the many images I have received here ** ♥ ♥ ♥ Hi Everyone :) I'm turning my focus to a little project I've been meaning to get off the ground for months now. I'd like to create a gallery on Love My Dress, a place where my readers can look through old wedding photography by decade, be it purely for fun, or to study the fashions of the times or just out of plain old curiosity. I just LOVE looking through wedding photography from the... Continue »
