Angie- I really believe that there is nothing we can do. For some, once they take that step there is no turning back- they are wired that way. How can one son be ok and the other not? Once he took that first dose, he was hooked- I took him to a rehab place the first time found out he was high. They sent me home saying it was a family issue. We knew there was a problem when his friends changed his senior year. But there was no way I could keep him room them. They were at school and lacrosse players- kids from good families. They werent affected the way my son was. That said, when I caught my youngest smoking pot, we packed our bags and moved to Denver. My husband had taken a job there and was going to commute every few weeks. Fuck that! So we moved. Once my olde son got out of his second stint in rehab, he joined us in Denver. He found heroin within a few weeks. Love your kids. Hug them, remind them of how precious they are. By instilling values, they know the difference between right and wrong. I always hope my son will remember. Oxox
