I feel good today, nice and relaxed and able to focus on my card making and journaling. The pre Christmas stress has gone and health wise I am pretty good. The weather is nice and cool and even raining at present which makes me happy too. the only real thing to annoy me at present was having to wait in a very long que at our main Post office this morning. My new Hero Arts catalogue has arrived so am looking forward to sitting and looking through this for new card ideas and any stamps that may take my fancy as well. Was down to see Liz at The Little Craft shop to pick up my new journaling stamp to use in journal making and have also put a lovely border punch asie to pick up next week. The feel good endorphins are working well just now too especially as one of my long term goals which was to be a card making design team member has now paid off. along with this I am going to be doing Christmas cards for my two charities again this year. I am planning on putting aside two afternoons a month to work on these plus I still have the journals to work on and hopefully I can fully committ to the certificate of Maori studies I have started that to will have to be put into my weekly plan. I do have trouble though keeping to such plans maybe this year will be my year for staying on track on time. Continue reading

Happy New Year;s welcome to 2011. I am so pleased to see the end of 2010. It was a year mixed with memory making events that I now chooseto let go of because they are now in the past. Let's see if I can think of 10 of these events... Continue reading

Have just finished reading one of Bryce Courtney's books called Jessica. It was 580 pages in length and book with a difference to what I normally read. On the whole the book was a good read but I found the last part of the book rather boring. i expected to... Continue reading

Your thoughts I am finding that I am now starting to think backwards, remembering people's name from out of nowhere it seems as this week two incidences have happened where something has triggered a thought and I have remembered. One was seeing the name Regensberg in Germany appear on a... Continue reading

Eat, pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert what a lovely book this one is. I feel that as I read the story after seeing the movie that I can relate big time to what Liz went through, not so much the travelling side of things. I didn't have the money to... Continue reading

On Thursday 14th October 2010 I decided to have a Carol day. That means that I decided to go to an afternoon movie session on the day of release of Julia Roberts's Eat,pray.Love movie. What a great enjoyable movie it was too. Definitely would consider this a chick flick and... Continue reading

I am not a great fan of hospitals and for me I avoid them like the plague. When I do have to go to hospital my stock question to the nurses and doctors usually is"When am I going home". I think its because if your not actually sick but in... Continue reading

Journal prompt for todaywhat is my favourite season and whySpring has to be my favourite of all the four seasons because to me it means a time for renewal, for rebirth as in the world of blossoms on the trees and the rebirth of all the beautiful Spring flower Daffodils, hyacinths, anenomes, lilac Forsyth, Cherry blossom and fruit tree blossoms.I love enjoying seeing young lambs frollicking around in the paddocks on farms having fun with each other. It always signals rebirth to me as wel, the time of year that everything is coming awake after the long and often dreary Winter monthsthis is why Spring means a lot to me as well.
