Nice cartoon, but SAHD sounds more like a disorder that comes and goes with the season.
SAHD Logo
As you may or may not know, in addition to being a cartoonist, I'm also a stay-at-home dad. I'm part of a group of SAHDs that meet often for playdates, bowling, movies, etc... and I was asked to come up with some ideas for a logo/graphic for the group. Here's the end result: I tried to...
I saw that too. The credit for the group flashed by. "They didn't leave that up very long," Mary said. I replied, "Don't worry. We'll see it on youtube."
I forgot to mention that it would also show up here.
D'oh Capella
Saw this at the end of last night's Simpsons, and I can't think of a better way to start the day: Technorati Tags: andertoons, cartoon, cartoonist, cartoons
the cartoon's fine, but I think you're missing the real point of this page. Who's that guy playing the trumpet, the most marvelous of instruments?
High School Cartoons - 12/2/87
Here's another old cartoon of mine from my high school paper, The Lance. Today's is from December 2, 1987. Here's a bit of the page it was on: And here's the cartoon close up: Looking back I have no idea why I'd attack Thanksgiving leftovers. That's not much of a joke, and I LOVE Th...
that was interesting. my comment was deleted. I'll try again...
Love it. Great voice, warm and friendly, prime YouTube material. Do more, and forgive me when I do some of my own. Imitation is the sincerest form of stealing.
By the way, where did your music come from?

so that's your secret. You PLANE your cartoons. Planing is the soul of wit.
I loved this feature. Friendly voice, casual observations. Where did the piano music come from? Do more, set them free on YouTube. Very nice.

That made me laugh.

Saw this at Best Buy today. My wife is bilingual and we've got the boy in a dual language school, so I'm all for having signs and such in more than one language. But when the only thing you're translating is an ampersand, I think you could let it go... Technorati Tags: andertoons
Are these at nano-scale? Should I be scared?
More Little Gray LEGO Bots
I've got some more LEGO bots up at Flickr! Enjoy! Technorati Tags: andertoons, LEGO
When you say largish, what are we talking here? Five, six feet? Were you on a stepladder when you snapped on the head?
I especially like the professional backdrop. The whole thing looks like a catalog shot for an existing toy. Great job.

Something I built for an online contest. I think it turned out pretty well. See it bigger over at Flickr. Technorati Tags: andertoons, LEGO, toys
Wow. Is there anything Andertoons can't do? Did you approach them, did they approach you, or did you find a backdoor into their website and they don't actually know you're there yet? Either way, very nice.
Andertoons Partnering With SlideRocket
Andertoons.com is proud to announce its partnership with revolutionary presentation creation website, SlideRocket.com! Some recent praise for SlideRocket includes: TechCrunch - "...produces slideshows that rival (and in many cases, better) PowerPoint..." SitePoint - "...easily the most comp...
Thank you. What inspired you to give the psychiatrist a beard and snappier shirt?
Original Cartoon for LEGO Cartoon #2
A while back I posted my second LEGO cartoon, and some folks were looking for the original cartoon that inspired it. It's not up at the site yet, but here it is: And here it is in LEGO: I changed the caption slightly. I'm not sure if it's any better. Anyhow, enjoy! Technorati Tag...
nano comic strips. The future is here.
Guess What This Is
I have lots of Andertoons stuff laying around, but this one is maybe the oddest... Any guesses? The answer on Thursday. Technorati Tags: andertoons, cartoon, cartoonist, cartoons, comics
That would have been my 437th guess.
Guess What This Is - Answer
So on Tuesday I asked readers if they could tell what this is: Ready for the answer? Yep, it's my bowling ball! Thanks for playing everyone!
A neon sign?
A sign in the sky, courtesy of those sky writing planes?
A tattoo gone horribly wrong?

Let's see the original cartoon. Show it, show it, show it (imagine a group chanting at your door.)
Lego Cartoon #2
So here's my second LEGO cartoon or vignette or whatever you want to call it. You can see it nice and big, as well as brick and CAD mockups, over at Flickr. Enjoy! Technorati Tags: andertoons, cartoon, cartoonist, cartoons, comics, LEGO
I just noticed something. The shape of these Lego brickbracks aren't that far removed from your drawing style. If I had to guess the artist behind the cartoon, I think there's a 60/40 chance I'd guess correctly.
And I second Mike's point about the signature. Along with your url.

Balloons? There are going to be balloons? Was I supposed to bring a balloon? Maybe if I tie a string to my head.

I never knew that Mandrake was such a cold-hearted bastard.
Why is he sucking the enchantment and paraphernalia of Christmas into his hat, and what does he plan to do with it?
My guess: revenge. He never got the Amazing Blackstone Magic Kit for christmas. He's never forgotten.

I did have those sea monkeys. For some reason I remember the smell of a bucket of dead starfish. The monkeys seemed to live a listless life, conflicted over their twin identities as shrimp and monkey.
