I am lucky in that my maternal grandfather collected, recorded and passed on an amazing treasure trove of family photos and documents. So when it came to researching and recording my family history on both sides of the family, my task was made relatively easy. As many people do, I subscribed to Ancestry where I discovered two more people researching my paternal family; luckily their records were correct so I was saved from following incorrect avenues in my research! So how to record all the information in an easy-to-follow method not in the 'public domain'? Through a Family History group... Continue reading

Whichever way you voted in the EU Referendum, however fed up you are with Brexit, this week’s events should concern everyone who believes that at a time of national crisis, MPs must take responsibility for protecting the interests of their constituents and Parliament must sit to hold the Government to account and ensuring the nations' interests are best protected. The Prime Minister is determined to crash us out of the EU without a deal on October 31st even though he knows that the majority of MPs from all parties, “Leavers and Remainers”, have consistently voted against such a move. We... Continue reading

This is taken from the latest newsletter from Rt Hon Anna Soubry MP to her constituents. She talks so much sense. 'I am not alone at having been confused at times by the various Brexit machinations in the public domain, from talk of ousting the PM and putting Corbyn in a taxi and sending him off to see the Queen, to comments from the PM's strangest of unelected advisers (Dominic Cummings) that we will crash out of the EU with no recourse to Parliament. There is speculation there will be a General Election in which we will leave the EU... Continue reading
