I'm having a little trouble not ranting too, and my family is not effected the way yours is. I'm so sorry! Thanks for the download (I hope making it was a little cathartic at least). I'll rant a bit on those instead.

Wendy Smedley turned me into a total junkie. Before she got ahold of me I'd only taken a few :) What I love about classes, in addition to the actual learning, is the motivation factor. They give me ideas, they motivate me to create and share, and they can even help my perspective shift. But, for me, the best outcome is that at the end of it all I've made stuff or done stuff that otherwise wouldn't have gotten done. And that is amazing.

I used to have a vintage Etsy shop, so I'm pretty seasoned at this whole thing. Though now that I'd only be searching for myself, I hardly hunt, because it doesn't feel worth the time for the few things I'd be looking for. My biggest hint at antique stores or flea markets and other multiple seller situations is to go for the messy booth / stalls rather than the well presented ones. In well presented ones, you'll find good stuff fast, but owners generally know what they have and price it accordingly. If you have to wade through some junk, you're more likely to find a super underpriced gem. Love your finds. That chair is so rad. My rule is also that you always, always open boxes. Probably my favorite find has been a 1920s faux bois typewriter, and it was closed up in a box that didn't look like a typewriter case under a table behind some junk. I'm so glad I opened that box, because I paid $20 for a typewriter worth hundreds.

Your stamps are my favorite. I love how versatile they are! I just finished up a layout using one on Monday :) http://thenerdnest.com/2013/05/my-favorite-place.html

So awesome. I especially loved the subtle knock on Comic Sans. It's fun to hate.

So glad you found a diet that worked out for you! Side note, I totally love your asparagus pesto recipe. So brilliant for when the basil isn't coming in strong yet. My toddler broke my blender, and I'm pretty much replacing it mostly so I can make that pesto. And smoothies. But mostly the pesto.

Hah! You've probably just started a meme sensation. I've had the hots for Norman Reedus the whole time, but it just carried over from Boondock Saints.

I just ran out of stovetop cleaner (I hate fighting with my glass stovetop), so this recommendation comes at the perfect time! Thanks :)
