Thank you! I was really surprised how much I love it short sleeved, maybe it's the weather this year or the feeling of singles yarn but I've worn it alot already :)
How to Finish a Sweater in a Year
I'm definitely not the first person to do this, but sometimes after working a project I hit a bit of a roadblock. Maybe it's a technique that I'm just not fond of, I've made a mistake and don't want to put in the effort to frog and reknit, or (and this is my biggest problem) maybe I'm going to ...
I have a couple of friends who are monogamous knitters and only ever have one project at a time, they always seem to get so much done! I've tried to change but I am always tempted by pretty patterns ;)

The first flower is a magnolia (those blossoms were HUGE) and the other is a snakes head fritillary, when the flowers are buds they droop and look like a snake head. Incredible checkerboard colouring on them.
I have read about the horrible drought in California, I cant imagine living somewhere so dry. You are doing right by trying to adapt to the conditions. I hope your garden does well (and sending a bit of English rain your way!)
First Garden Visit of the Year
Yesterday was a bit of a grey and blustery day compared to the glorious warmth and sunshine we'd been enjoying but it was still a good day for a visit to some local gardens. Such a lot of beauty even this early in the growing season is part of what I love about our mild climate. W...
Oh that sounds amazing, and MANGO trees? I am incredibly jealous!

Thank you so much for sharing this trip to Denmark, it looks absolutely amazing! I also love your watercolour sketch, one of my favourite ways to record a journey :)
Denmark in Photos
Was my last post really way back in January?? I honestly don't know where the time has gone. There has been a lot of knitting, but all of it is the secret sort and sadly cannot be shown here. My sincere apologies for the long silence. I've just returned from visiting IJK who is spending the sem...

Hello and happy Sunday! Here we are at the end of another week. How was your week? This week has been a great one knit-wise. The mojo is still going strong and I feel like I have been getting a lot accomplished. Maybe not in finished objects but more in the sense that I have really been ...

Thank you Alina, I hope yours is lovely too :)
Spring
It is now well and truly spring here in the southwest, daffodils coming to their end, the woods are feeling greener with every passing day. I think spring is one of those seasons that gets better as you get older. Increasingly I appreciate the renewal of the plants, watching buds and sho...

Thank you! The colour is just starting too, I always get so excited when everything first comes up :) The purple flowers are crocuses, little bulbs that come in a lot of different colours, but I can't resist those purples.
Welcome March!
Is it just me or has this year gone by in a whirlwind? I seem to have such a hard time adjusting this year, finding a rhythm and getting settled. Part of it may be changing interests for all of us. Seems like each of us has taken up new hobbies: painting, reading, fiddle, building... And the...

All feeling much better now, thankful for a healthier start to the New Year :)
2014: Knitting Year in Review
I hope everyone has had a fabulous holiday these last couple of weeks. We had a quiet homely celebration sprinkled with some colds. With the New Year I always enjoy looking back at what I've made and assessing my favourite projects. I am amazed to have finished 25 projects last year! Here's...
I think those might secretly be my favourites too! Don't tell the others ;)
