Most sharks max out in the 4 to 5 meter range. To date, 6 meters (20 feet) is the official record - a massive female white shark caught off Prince Edward Island. I'm convinced that we have a shark off the coast of South Africa right now that makes her look like a guppy. I'm talking at least another 2 meters, but that's a conservative estimate. We may be looking at a shark 3 or even 4 meters larger than the P.E.I. shark (a total length of more than 30 feet). Continue reading

Look, I can definitively say whether this person who wrote me saw Submarine, a white shark that he mistook for Submarine, or if he's pulling one over. What I am convinced of regardless is that Submarine is a real shark made of flesh and cartilage - not one of pure imagination. Submarine is out there. Continue reading
