Thanks for spreading the word, Wil. Happy to chip in and boost the signal further.

Thanks for sharing that, Wil. I definitely like Riley, and wish she could travel with you to some events so I might get to meet her someday.

Thanks for the awesome recap, Wil! I was at my very first Comic-Con, and wish I'd gotten to see you live. I agree, it was a zoo -- especially the exhibits floor when FOX was screwing with people on the autograph signing. But I've pre-registered for next year already!

It's been years since I've seen her in person, but Majel always impressed me at cons by spending HOURS walking around and chatting with fans, or sitting at her table chatting with whoever came by. After the first couple of times she saw me, even though she would have no reason to know who I was, she always seemed delighted to see me again and treated me like an old buddy. Majel was a real gem and a class act. I've already sent Rod a note, but I want you to know I'm thinking about you and the rest of Majel's extended family today. My family's lucky; my mom has survived her leukemia, so far. My next donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be in Majel's memory.

This was a real treat to read, especially after seeing the episode. (I watch regularly, but this episode had an extra dimension for WWDN readers!) Thanks very much for writing it for us.

Silly question, Wil. You should plunder the Guinness supply!

Wil, thank you for including the rollover text when you reproduced this xkcd! So many people don't bother. :-) (And I'd probably have the same reaction if I ever met Randall Munroe.)

Like some of the above folks, I've had a couple of my photos published by Schmap... HSBC Arena in Buffalo and a pretty random Cheesecake Factory shot in San Antonio. I'd love to be paid for them, but since they don't pay for photos and had the decency to ask rather than steal, I figured it was worth letting them. If you hold out for money, they'll probably move on to someone else's photo.

Hey, Wil. Thanks for giving me something to tear up about other than the document about Zimbra and Exchange Server I'm editing for my boss.

I'm not going to make it to Phoenix, but I'm looking forward to a picture of you signing a baby!

Hey, Wil! Thanks for sharing your holiday playlist. When you're ready to build Volume III, one addition most folks would never think of is Billy Joel's "She's Right On Time." (You know, I don't think I ever saw that video before! Fun!)

Wil, I really enjoyed listening to the keynote on my iPod on my last couple of walks down to Collegetown (business and student slum district near Cornell campus) for lunch. When I got back yesterday afternoon and wasn't finished, I had to keep listening at my desk. Don't tell! (Not that anyone would care.) I'm glad the talk worked out so well! I know how worried you were about it, but whatever it looked like a few days earlier, you turned it into something that was obviously great for that audience, not to mention for us. (Dude! Star Raiders!) Out of curiosity, when you write a talk like this, how much is written word for word and how much is outlined? How much rehearsing do you do? You sound too natural for me to imagine you standing there reading a speech from a stack of paper. (And happy birthday, Moni!) Mark
