Trucker, I love your imagination but, I mean, seriously? The Heat couldn't even woo Joel Przybilla. The Heat has nothing to offer except a minimum salary deal.
More importantly, what's up with Eddy Curry? I mean, this guy must be pretty far gone if he can't move past Dexter Pittman on the depth chart.

LeBron James passes up final shot after another brilliant game
JOSEPH GOODMAN [email protected] SALT LAKE CITY — When LeBron James hit one of the most ridiculously difficult shots anyone in EnergySolutions Arena had ever seen, he spent nearly the entire ensuing timeout jutting his jaw, glaring and generally flexing his brilliance for all to see. The ...
Pittman is better than Pryzbilla, in my opinion.

Dexter Pittman, not Eddy Curry, the Heat's biggest loser
WASHINGTON -- Dexter Pittman has moved ahead of Eddy Curry on the Heat's depth chart. Pittman played 12 minutes against the Wizards on Friday and had two points and four rebounds. I caught up with Pittman afterwards in the locker room and asked him about he new physique. Pittman has lost 35 poun...

Dwyane Wade returns with bounce in his step
You knew everything was going to be OK when Dwyane Wade bounded past Landry Fields in the first half and threw down a monstrous fast-break dunk. After two week's of rest, Wade returned from his sprained ankle on Friday against the Knicks and scored 28 points in the Heat's 99-89 victory. It wasn...
Guys, I don't think LeBron is going to Cleveland! That was kind of the point of the blog post. You know, just pointing out I thought the idea was ridiculous.

Will LeBron play for the Cavaliers again?
Fox Sports Ohio and then our friends at ESPN's Heat Index posed an interesting question on Tuesday: Will LeBron James ever play for the Cleveland Cavaliers again? Not unless LeBron buys the team from Dan Gilbert before he retires. Seriously, did everyone suddenly forget the letter Cavs owner Dan...
This article is a load of BS! This non-info could possibly satisfy your editor for your lack of a story. But us Heat fans ain't buying!!!! You should have your *** kicked for calling yourself a journalist.

As strange as it sounds, Lebron actually hampers the Heat. He takes away from the talent of the other players. Unlike Magic, Bird, Jordan, Zeke and the likes in the past, Lebron makes no one better.

This has got to be a joke! LeBron has made Chalmers, James Jones, Mike Miller and Shane Battier better players this season. Check the three-point percentages this season. The Heat is shooting 40 percent from three-point range. It's a direct result of James being more aggressive in the post and getting guys open on the perimeter. LeBron has made Joel Anthony a better player. He's forced Joel to learn how to catch a pass!

EMAILS I GET: Trade Dwyane Wade for Deron Williams
From time to time on the blog, I'll be publishing emails I receive from fans/haters/insane people. Here's the first, which comes from Ryan Gunderson in Newport Beach, Calif. (Obviously, everything written in blue font is written by the author of this blog, Joe Goodman. Everything in black font i...
Joe, check the numbers on the 3 point shooting. What you wrote doesn't add up. Or divide, whatever.

LeBron dominates showdown against Kobe
Heat 98, Lakers 87 was Miami's second straight home victory since losing three in a row on the road. LeBron James had a monster game despite suffering from flu-like symptoms throughout the day. James' line: 31 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, four steals and three blocks. LeBron has scored...
Eddy Curry should be cleared to play soon. The hope is that he adds some offense from the center position. I was just talking about Joel's defense. He does seem to disrupt a lot of shots in the paint. At some point in the third quarter, I glanced at the stats monitor to check the points in the paint and the Heat led 32-18. Joel has a lot to do with those numbers.

Second overtime loss in a row for the Heat
LOS ANGELES -- The Heat missed 14 free throws and was 1 of 10 in overtime. There's your game. Clippers 95, Heat 89. --LeBron missed eight free throws. --Interestingly, the Heat wasn't very discouraged with the loss. LeBron said he was satisfied with the way the team play. --The Heat shot 39.5 pe...
I don't think anyone was happy with the loss, maybe content with some aspects of how they played. It's like being upset with your game even if you've won, but played poorly.
Chalmers is playing well now, like him closing games.

Credit the loss to Spo? You realize LeBron didn't take a shot in the fourth quarter and Wade was 1 of 8, right? The West Coast swing is catching up to them, that's all. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost the next two games.

Dwyane Wade returns for loss to Golden State
OAKLAND, Calif. -- Dwyane Wade didn't pass up a chance to play against 2-6 Golden State. Who could?! That's what I was thinking just before the game. Afterwards, I was thinking something like, "Why didn't the Heat (8-2) resign Dorell Wright?" Seriously, Wright makes $3.8 million this season. Mik...
I don't see the Heat trading anyone. The team is happy with the young players they have and are looking forward to developing them. In the long run, developing Gladness and Pittman will help when the more punitive luxury tax kicks in. They're not spending anymore money on a center. Plus, they've got Eddy Curry, who will be joining the rotation soon.

Wade, Chalmers sit out practice

I agree. Gladness is very long and plays above the rim. He can develop into a very nice player.

Haha, nice handle...The latest on Wade is the same on Wade, his foot is holding him out. He really wants to be on the court and is shooting for Tuesday against Golden State. I'll see how he's feeling here in a few hours and report back. Check my Twitter account because the news will be posted there first. (www.twitter.com/MiamiHeraldHeat) Practice is supposed to end around 1:30 local.

POSTCARDS: When in San Francisco, take time to smell the redwoods
SAN FRANCISCO -- So, here is today's story on the Heat. CLICK ME! Other than traveling from New York to San Francisco and writing the story about how the Heat is pretty much the best team in the NBA right now, I had the day off on Sunday. Well, half a day thanks to a direct flight from JFK to SF...

HAWKS 100, HEAT 92: Wade and Miami slowed by zone defense
What is this zone defense and where did it come from? That's what it felt like watching the Heat on Monday. OK, that's a slight exaggeration, but you get the point. For stretches, the Hawks' zone befuddled the Heat. The Hawks' athletic defenders kept the Heat out of the lane, slowed down the pac...
2) What was Spo thinking in the last minutes. He knows Norris can light it up. There was a game where Norris came in and took over, exploiting the zone that he's knows so well since he spent 4 yrs in college. Why keep Chalmers in along with Wade, when both were stinking up the place. I know why you keep Wade in - and that's not on Spo, but as a coach when you have two players making bone headed plays and turning the ball over, at some point you have to put in the rookie for scoring and hope he makes something happen.
3) After Dallas, etc. used zone and slowed Miami, why hasn't Spo found a zone buster yet? He has a basic offense to combat the zone, but he doesn't have a rotation. Before players can get comfortable with the zone, he's rotating them out, except for bone headed chalmers.

Touchdown Miami, again
Fast-forward to 1:45 in the NBA TV highlights for D-Wade's touchdown pass to LeBron on Sunday. Miami had 30 fast-break points and leads the NBA in fast-break points. Brought to my attention by a Twitter friend, here's an eerily similar highlight from last season against the Bobcats. Pretty ni...
Heat don't have the trade chips to get Cousins. Even if they did, Miami probably isn't the best fit for him at this point in his career. Needs to suck it up Sacramento and quit crying.

HEAT 129, BOBCATS 90: Post-game notes and stuff
So this is what everyone was expecting at the start of last season. The Heat is 5-0 for the first time in franchise history after Sunday's 39-point bludgeoning of the Charlotte Bobcats. Seriously, how did the Heat almost lose to that team last Wednesday? A better question: How bad are the Bobcat...

i think heat must decide now to waive Miller... it so quite sad to let him go but we got to face reality that he is injury prone type...
get rid of House for roster spot and hoping that heat would NOT pick up Juwan Howard to waste a roster spot...

Chris Bosh has muscles and other things you won't believe (or maybe you will)
When I first walked into the Heat's practice gym on Thursday, I was immediately surprised by how much muscle Chris Bosh has stacked on his frame. No, seriously, the guy looks pretty jacked. I mean, he's not Karl Malone or Charles Oakley or anything, but there's no question Bosh dedicated himself...

Should the Heat keep Mike Miller?
