Dear Laurel,
Have I ever told you how much i love you, my sister in Christ.
You and I have talked about those who talk the talk , but don't walk the walk. It's a hard walk that walk to Calvary, but Thankfully we don't have to. That's the part that most don't understand. I will pray for your friend and those like her, whose insurance only takes money and offers no relief. And for those who the "American Dream" is only a myth.

Thanks. You always seem to touch my heart in all the right places.

Not sure you know this but before coming to Ashokan I was the chef at a local hospital. @1 years later people still talk about the food and the wonderful staff I had working with me.
The key is like the song says "wit a little bit of love". I always encouraged my staff to think of the people not as patients but as family.
So I would like to apply to your hospital. As a chef, great story teller and a vocalist I think I qualify.
You and your mother are in my prayers.
Peace

Healing through the senses
I talked with my mom this morning. She is still in hospital, and getting very good care. However, she says that, as is the case in most hospitals, the food is unfortunate. Or maybe that she is unfortunate to be seeing it on her plate. That, even if she were feeling better, she would have no...
