After nearly 24 years, I've decided to retire from Stampin' Up! My health is such that I'm not able to schlep my product to hostess's homes or even host classes in my own home. Even though I'm not able to help you order anything currently offered by Stampin' Up!, I still have lots of retired product. I also have lots of current products that I'm now allowed to offer you at a discount because I'm no longer an active demonstrator. I've just updated my inventory lists by removing sold items. You can find my inventory lists HERE. I'll be adding a lot more ASAP. I can't give an exact date, because I have a lot going on right now. My husband and I are preparing ourselves and our home for retirement. We hope to move out of California soon after he retires, at the end of 2020, so I need to down size my collection of Stampin' Up! products as much as possible. Please email me your wish list including the item name, number and the catalog as indicated on my inventory lists. If you don't see what you're seeking on my lists, please email me with the item name and number. If you can tell me which catalog you saw it in, that would be a huge help too. I'll see if I have it available for sale. My email address is [email protected] That's all for now. Email me if you have questions. Happy Independence Day My Fellow Americans! Continue reading

Well, I finally had to do it. Even though it was Sale-A-Bration last quarter, I had to let it go by without placing a Stampin' Up! order for myself. That pretty much cinches my retirement as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. I was getting no orders from former or new customers and we can no longer afford an average of $100/mo for me to stay active. (We're working towards actual retirement.) I'll have April as a grace period, but I'll have to come up with a minimum of $400 in orders by May 31st to remain as an active demonstrator. That's not going to happen, not unless someone decides to order from me. If that's you, please use my demonstrator # 5412 and order here. Eventually, I'll start selling off my SU! products that I don't expect to use. I can't sell items I own from any current catalog until I'm officially inactive, IE as of June 1st. It'll take lots of time photographing everything and posting the pictures here, but it has to happen. We need to downsize. In the meantime, if there is any retired product you're seeking and it's not on my inventory lists, let me know. I have some products I haven't yet listed. I case you don't already know, all of my retired products are drastically marked down. Click here for my retired inventory lists page. To order or inquire about any retired product, please email me at [email protected]. I'll need the item # and description and if possible catalog it was in. That's all for now. Please feel free to ask if you have questions. Stay home and stay safe from COVID-19. Continue reading

Since it's nearing the end of the sales quota grace period for the 2nd quarter of 2019, I need to order nearly $208 before August 1st or lose my demonstratorship, that is unless someone decides to help me out by placing an order through me by July 31st. If someone does order, I'll only need to make up the difference. All orders are appreciated! Remember, during July you get a $5 coupon code for every $50 you spend for redeeming in August. See the details about Bonus Days in my post here. If you know me at all, you can bet that the suite featured in the below video is at the top of my shopping list. I love everything in it. Please watch the video for a close look at the Pressed Petal Suite, #152193. Click here to order the suite. You may also order individual items from the suite separately. Please make sure to indicate me, Michelle Gray, demo #5412, as your demonstrator. That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by! Continue reading

While I was showing my handcrafted jewelry at a church event this past Saturday, a friend told me about Venmo for sending/accepting payments. I finished signing up today. Venmo is similar to PayPal and Square, but in most cases I won't be charged a fee when you send me a payment for your retired Stampin' Up! product order. I'm thrilled to know about Venmo, because I'll be able to ship your orders to you much sooner than waiting for a personal check to get to me via USPS and then wait for it clear once deposited. Paying a fee to the other processing services can really add up over time, so that's the other reason I'm thrilled about Venmo. If you don't have the Venmo app, be sure to download it soon. It could be very useful to you too. Click here to check it out. Or go to the app store. Just wanted to share . . . Continue reading

As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I love having all current Stampin' Up! cardstock, all current ink pads, all current refills and all current Stampin’ Blends markers. That way I can coordinate my projects with the Designer Series papers. Having all current colors also allows me to create color combos I find online, in magazine pictures or even in my clothes closet. Of course, each time there's a color renewal, like in the release of the 2018-19 Stampin’ Up! annual catalog, I need to reorganize everything. Like my cardstock, I organize my ink pads and markers by the rainbow method. See my ink pads below. Click here to shop for all Stampin' Up! ink products currently available. All of my wood storage shelf units (for stamps, ink pads, punches and markers) are from StampNStorage, who is currently offering a 10% discount for their 10th anniversary. They have storage solutions to suit nearly any paper crafting enthusiast. I store my ink refills, aka reinkers, in wood-mount stamp cases. I sort my reinkers alphabetically since sorting by the rainbow method isn't feasible. The ink colors are too color saturated to tell which they are without reading the label. After sharing about my reorganized cardstock yesterday, I realized that I needed to reorganize my ribbons and trims too. The clear plastic containers I store my ribbons and trims in were from Costco. I haven’t seen them there lately, but I know you can get similar containers at Office Depot or The Container Store, to name just a couple sources. Click here to shop for ribbons and trims. As with papers and ink, I like to have a lot of trims. I could probably fit them all in just 2 containers, but as you’ll notice in the 6 pictures directly above, you can clearly see the contents in each of the 3 containers from the top and side views. Sometimes finding things easily is more important, and expedient, than saving space. Organizing things in a way that works for you really is important. You’ll not only save space when your things are tidy, you’ll also save a lot of time. Sure, organizing can be time consuming, but you’ll make up that time in the long run when you know right where to go for that specific thing you need at any given time. BTW, you don’t have to buy anything fancy, and certainly not expensive, to be organized. Much of my tools, materials and supplies are organized and stored in upcycled food storage containers. I mostly use clear plastic, but there are some things I store in cardboard boxes. Organizing your things just depends on your available space and budget and how you prefer to work when you’re feeling creative. For your paper crafting needs, click here for current Stampin' Up! products or click here for my Retired Stampin' Up! inventory for huge savings. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Shopping! Gosh! I thought I shared about this already! Apparently not, so, here you go . . . With the release of the 2018-19 Stampin' Up! annual catalog, the colors of their consumables, IE papers, inks, trims, etc. were revamped. So it was time I reorganize all if my papers. Firstly, I made sure to order all of the new colors of 8 1/2” x 11” cardstock, including the 2018-2020 In Colors and any current colors I was missing. Secondly, I separated all of the retired colors from the current colors, to store separately. I have very little 12” x 12” cardstock, so I keep it in a handy 12” x 12” storage container available at the big craft stores. Lastly, I completely re-sorted my current cardstock. I keep all of my 8 1/2” x 11” cardstock in a file cabinet for easy access and protection from dust. I used to sort alphabetically by color name, but now I organize it by the colors of the rainbow. The rainbow method makes it easier to see all the colors I have in any given hue, thus saving me time. As you can see in the picture above, I keep a single color, including scraps, in each hanging folder and I label each folder with the color name. I positioned all of the labels along the left side, allowing as much work space as possible to set a work-in-process when looking for matching/coordinating cardstock. Isn’t the side view of my cardstock drawer pretty?! As I stand at my work bench, conveniently to the right of my file cabinet, I never know which color will inspire me next. I don’t always have much 12” x 12” or 6” x 6” patterned (DPS) or solid specialty papers (glimmer, metallic foil, etc.), so I keep them in a vertical desktop organizer. I like them in view and handy so I remember to use them. Huh! Now that I think about it, I’m need to reorganize my ribbons & trims by color instead of by style. That should be more convenient and prettier too. See tomorrow's post for details on that. Thanks for stopping by! Continue reading

As crafters, we unique lot enjoy finding alternate uses for our materials/supplies in addition to card making. With that in mind, I found 3 Youtube videos for making beautiful ornaments with my paper crafting supplies, esp. my glimmer paper. After using it for cards, I have a number of nice sized scraps. Note: the first 2 videos demo with glitter foam, but I'm 99.99% sure you can use the Stampin' Up! glimmer paper to make the same or similar ornaments. You may need to handle the glimmer paper with a little more care than glitter foam, but I think it's well worth a try. Please let me know if you do. I'd love to see your projects and here how it goes for you. Also note: if cutting your glimmer paper with punches or steal ruled dies, be sure to position the cutting edge toward the back of the paper for the best result. Check out the below videos I found and enjoy using up your glimmer paper scraps and other leftover materials. Thanks for stopping by. Have fun using your supplies for these and other lovely ornaments. Don't have any glimmer paper or glitter, shop here. Continue reading

My husband and I love trees. We always have trees on our property, even on the smallest lot. Our home in Clovis had a giant curly willow tree in the front yard that I started with a twig from my 1994 bridal bouquet. I loved that tree and I hated to leave it behind when we sold the home September 2012. I also love my Stampin’ Up! tree stamp sets. They’re perfect for any season and almost any occasion, plus tree images are ”gender neutral”. Because I love the versatility of all of the tree stamp sets, I’ve spent a lot of time on Pinterest collecting ideas for tree stamp sets. Of course, there are more stamp sets featured under my ”Cards I Like” board besides tree sets. I've only begun saving "Cards I Like" by set name. Click here to see my ”Cards I Like” board. FYI: In case you're interested, here’s the link for all of the currently available Stampin’ Up! products with tree images, stamp sets, DSP’s, dies, punches, embellishments, etc. Note: Winter Woods stamp set and In the Woods Framelits are currently available as a bundle as well as separately. Unless you want to put the stamps/dies toward a Sale-a-brations order January 3 - March 31, 2019, I'd suggest your order the bundle by Jan 2nd for the 10% off bundle price. Here are the Winter Woods Clear Mount bundle and Winter Woods Wood Mount bundle links. The titled pictures below are linked to my pin boards for each of the tree sets I own. Have you tried the new Classic ink pads from the 2018-19 annual catalog yet? If you have, then you may already know about all of the new features and improvements. If you haven't, you really should watch the video Stampin' Up! made to show you. If I could, I'd replace all of my older pads with the new design, I'm that impressed. For now, I've ordered just the new colors assortment and the 2018-20 In Colors. Of course as always, I've also ordered the ink refills for them all. I like using the refill bottles, aka reinkers, for watercoloring in addition to the obvious reinking of my well loved ink pads. Get 3 Bonus Bucks coupons, worth $15 to use in September, when you order the New Colors Assortment, the 2018-20 In Colors and only 3 reinkers by the end of August. What's Bonus Bucks? Click here for information about this special, ending August 31st. Basically: for every $50 spent in a single order in August, you'll get a coupon code for $5 emailed to you use in September. That's kind of like a 30% discount on your August order. Need a summary of the video info? See below. What’s better about the case? We wanted the new case to: Be less confusing to open. Opening the new ink pad case is now more simple and intuitive. Just insert your thumb in the lip at the front of the case and lift it to open. Have a tighter fit between the lid and the base. With the new design, the lid doesn’t accidentally become disconnected, which was a common problem with the old case style. With use, the lid will be easier to slide open and close. Be stackable. The ability to stack the cases makes them easier to store and transport. We designed a nub in each bottom corner that fits nicely into the dimple on the top of another case. Tip: Removing the label stickers from the bottom of the case (after applying the needed labels to the case) also makes the ink pads stack a little better. Include improved labels and stickers. Here are a few of the ways we’ve done that: The top label now has a cleaner, bolder design and a larger color swatch, making it easier to see the ink’s color. The stickers include a new In Color icon. We’ve continued to provide color stickers that can be placed on the end of each case to easily identify the ink’s color at a glance. We’re introducing a new color sticker you can place on the inside of the case, so you can easily distinguish the ink’s color when the case is open. How is the ink different? We improved our ink formula because we noticed that our old ink would sometimes bubble, especially on new pads and with lighter colors. When this happened, the ink wasn’t as even and smooth when stamped as we’d like to see it. The improved ink formula will: Reduce... Continue reading

Yes, I'm very excited about the new Stampin' Up! alcohol ink markers, Stampin' Blends. There have been so many improvements made to these markers that I'm sure you'll love them! . Along with ordering my full set of 26 markers, including the 2 "skintones", I ordered item #144180, the "Just Add Color" Specialty DSP. Item #144180 is on page 167 in the 2017-18 Annual catalog. (See the catalog link in the sidebar of this blog.) Click on the image below for an enlargeable view to see the design mages. Click here to order the "Just Add Color" Specialty DSP through my online store. This DSP reminds me that as a young girl I'd while away many happy hours with my late Aunt Marcia coloring in my children's coloring books. Of course, these awesome new markers and the line art in the "Just Add Color" paper, though just as fun, will give a much more grown up finished project. Yes, of course these new markers can be used with stamped images, but I wanted to be able to practice with my markers while watching TV with my husband. To use the markers with stamps, be sure to use the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad, #132708, to avoid smearing. Or you can emboss your stamped images. Click here for the Memento Ink pad. I highly recommend you order the refill bottle as well. Anxious to get my order!!! QUESTIONS? Feel free to email me at [email protected] Happy coloring! Continue reading
