So, its been a while since I've written anything here. Looks like my daily post prediction was right. I suck at this, aparently. I started school. Well, I started GED school. I got my GED. I started college. ...I'm a college student. Its not really a big deal, but it still blows my mind. I know, they'll let anyone into college, at least this college, but I really feel good about it. Winter quarter is almost over, I have a week of classes and a week of finals. I have a 3.4 in English, a 4.0 in First Aid and... Continue reading

So I haven't written a blog in a while, so um... Hi again. I guess I'll start by addressing whats really been going on. My laptop broke. Yep, it's a goner. It actually still works but everytime I turn I feel like it's going to stop working. See, its an HP and sadly, they don't work as well as I'd like. Everytime I turn it on, it gets super hot to the point where it has burned my leg, and melted the case. So I now rely on the computers at college and Jesse's desktop. I guess that attributes to... On June 27th, 2010 the world lost a great man. That man was my Uncle Harold. He passed away after a long battle with multiple health related problems. He was very loved, and still is, but now along with that love, there is a great sadness and sense of emptiness in many people's lives. I have always looked up to him and he remains one of my heroes. He always had a loving, fun presence about him. He was the best card player I have ever seen, and shared that talent with everyone. Pictured above is my Aunt Versa, Harold's... Continue reading

Pride is a weird emotion for me. I've only been proud of other people, never really myself. Maybe its the long-term self loathing, maybe its just my way of making sure I'll always strive for more. Whatever it is, it briefly subsided yesterday. I had just gotten in a lame internet argument (which, I'll point out here, winning an internet argument is like trying to put the milk BACK into the cow's udder. Its not going to happen, yet people still try.) and I was called a lot of harsh things, and threatened, among other things. What surprised me was... Continue reading

Ten Years Ago: I was 11. Still hamming it up to any camera within 25 feet. I spent my days in school and then summer came, those days were spent at my uncle's house. Well, more like at my Uncle's pool. He lived a block away so me and my 2 older brothers would walk across the golf course that we all lived on (my family, and my uncle's family) and go swim until our hair turned green (oh the joys of being a blonde). Five Years Ago: I was 16. Going to school, getting into trouble. I finally discovered... Continue reading

Wil, I loved this episode, as much as every other episode of RFB. I saw you at ECCC and wanted to gush on and on about how much I loved RFB and your writing, but I saw the line behind me and told you briefly how much I loved RFB and fed the burrito. I look forward to the next episode. I'm glad to hear that the bulldozer is gone!

Hey all, I know, its been a while. Today I'll show you what I think are must haves for Fashion! I am trying to keep them on the cheapo because everyone knows that times are tough. I'll be doing a makeup version soon too. Enjoy! 1. The Under Tank These tank tops are great for layering, wearing under sweaters, or even to hide that patterned bra you thought was cute before you tried to wear it under anything. You should get at least a black, white and nude one. If you like to wear them under sweaters opt for more... Continue reading

For the last few weeks (days? months?) I've felt more anger towards the general population than I have in a long time. I feel like I just need to write, and this is where I'm coming to vent my frustration, and my fed-up-ness. First, I guess I'll start off with whats bugging me most, and then I guess in no particular order. People who talk shit, and can't handle the outcome, so they attack those I care about. Look, anyone who has ever known me, not even really known me, knows that I speak my mind. I'm not afraid of... Continue reading

Fun things today. I got new nail polish. It's called "Emerald City" Jesse picked it out and I actually really like it. Its rich and versatile. I can wear it for spring (hello, spring greens) and winter (its dark enough). (Above) From left to right: 3 coats, 2 coats, 1 coat I also bought a concealer pallate from Hard Candy big thanks to my cousin Gabriella for showing this on her blog: I love the detachable brush, but I'm not sure I'll use it. Maybe when I'm out and about, but otherwise I'll use my foundation brush I'm sure.... Continue reading

Well, I wonder which song they're gonna play when we go. I hope it's something quiet and minor and peaceful and slow. When we float out into the ether, into the Everlasting Arms, I hope we don't hear Marley's chains we forged in life. 'Cause the chains I been hearing now for most of my life. Did you hear the '59 Sound coming through on Grandmama's radio? Did you hear the rattling chains in the hospital walls? Did you hear the old gospel choir when they came to carry you over? Did you hear your favorite song one last time?... Continue reading

I finally got my office set up yesterday. Up until now, I haven't had a desk to write on. When I did write, it was usually a battle between my fingers wanting to type and my ass wanting to not get numb from sitting on the couch. Jesse brought up a desk from downstairs (which was very manly, if I might say so myself) and gave me a computer chair he never used. You're probably wondering what this has to do with "Dixie Cups", right? Well, I sat down this morning to write slash (/) procrastinate on facebook and my... Continue reading

For a while now I've felt like I should have a hobby. I mean, I read, but thats not a hobby to me, thats gaining knowledge. Finally I got the courage to try something new, so I went to the library and wal-mart and picked up a new hobby. Knitting. Yes, knitting. I'm really enjoying it, I just want to go to jo-ann's or micheal's and look at yarn, lots and lots of yarn. I'm making a scarf right now. It's going to be a striped teal and chocolate brown scarf. So far I'm about half way through the first... Continue reading

This year's ECCC was my second Con, and second ECCC. Last year it was really overwhelming so I completely missed you there. This year was much more relaxing to me, even though it was bigger. I went to your awesome hour and even sat in on your Delve for a bit. I absolutely love they way you write, and to hear you read stories is even better. I had a lot of fun sitting in on your Delve. I haven't played in quite some time and it just took me back. I have been itching to get back into it since then. I just wanted to say thanks for everything you did at ECCC. I can't imagine how exhausting it was.

So, Jesee so kindly' pointed out that I haven't written in almost a month. Sorry! I haven't been busy per say.. I've just not been in the mood to write at all. We've been getting ready for ComiCon, which is coming up this weekend. We'll take our annual trip to Seattle for that on friday. Last night we went through our comics to figure out what can be signed. I plan on having a big blog post after we get back from Seattle. So look forward to that. Right now I'm going to attempt to review my new phone. SAMSUNG... Continue reading

So, some of you might know, I got an iPod Touch for my birthday last year from Jesse. It's freaking awesome, still, but Apple/iTunes is really pissing me off. I've tried to update it since the new update came out, forever ago. Everytime I try to update it, iTunes doesn't let me. Since I haven't been able to update it, my wifi goes in and out, mostly out. So now I've restored it to factory settings, and hopefully it's a lot better. Here's to resyncing my iPod for the next few hours! Continue reading

I've been neglecting my blog in the slightest bit, so its time for me to write! I got sucked into NetFlix for the past 3 days. Also, I've been working on my ComiCon Spreadsheet. I'm almost done, I just need to finish the Artist Alley, and of course, keep it updated when ECCC adds more guests. But wait, I have much more exciting news! We got a new camera! Yaaay! Jesse and I got a new camera today, because his is old and a bit bulky to carry around ComiCon. I was a bit dissapointed with some of the pictures... Continue reading
