"The Sun has been a driver of these systems more than we had any right to expect," says Daniel Baker, Principal Investigator, Van Allen Probes Relativistic Electron Proton Telescope (REPT). "We're seeing brand new features we hadn't expected." In a press conference on Dec. 4th members of the Van Allen Probes science team discussed current findings made in unlocking the mysteries of the radiation belts. Energetic events and ejections of plasma from the Sun caused dramatic changes in the radiation belts that, for the first time, were observed by twin spacecraft within the belts. Continue »

A new study just released indicates the June 2012 discovery by a team of Japanese scientists showing a spike in carbon-14 found in tree rings dating between 774-775 AD - was most likely caused by a CME (coronal mass ejection). Until now, the 1859 "Carrington Event" has been documented as the largest solar event to hit Earth ever recorded. Continue »

Excitement is building over soon-to-be-released results from NASA's Curiosity rover, which is three months into a two-year mission to determine if Mars has ever been capable of supporting microbial life. Continue »

Three M-Class Flares w/ Earth Directed CMEs. Solar activity has been active for the past 48 hours. Three M-class flares have fired off from sunspot region 1618. The largest solar event of this period was an M3.6 flare event on Nov. 21st 15:10:00 UT. There was an M1.7 at 12:36:00... Continue »

NASA has found a secret underground subway system indicating Martians have been trying to hide their anthropogenic induced pollution causing an unexpected warming of Mars. Silly, isn't it.... Continue »

This new finding furthers ECMs new equation identifying a connection between our galaxy Milky Way, channeling charged particles in a narrow bands which would have a significant effect on our Sun, all planets in our solar system, and all that lives on them. Continue »

This is deadly serious. The Cascadia Suduction Zone is susceptible to mega-quake measuring 9.0+ - and it is over due in its 300 year cycle. This is not a "warning" but an "alert". A Warning means it is inevitable - an Alert means it is between likely and probable. Continue »

'It has begun'. I posted an article yesterday showing historical evidence of a solar eclipse window which begins 14 days prior to the event, and 14 after. In an upcoming article, I will describe what the possible reasons would be for a solar eclipse to set off earthquakes and volcanoes. Continue »

Is it possible that galactic and solar events are exerting an impact on Earth's climate far more than any human activities? And is it possible that these celestial events are affecting us in many more ways than just the climate? Finally, is it possible that ancient cultures, such as the Mayans, anticipated these changes? Continue »

NASA is planning to reveal a new discovery from its Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope on Thursday that will shed light on the nature of dark energy. About 80 percent of the universe is made up of a strange force called "dark matter". NASA has referred to this source as "ancient starlight". Continue »

Today's release of the latest discoveries of Earth's magnetic field reversal goes to the heart of Mitch Battros new "equation" published earlier this year. Discoveries highlighted is confirmation of a "much shorter period in the time-linked-means of which the field reversal took place" - from the beginning short distance (magnetic north) bouncing in latitude and longitude, to the end stages of magnetic north dipping below the equator, and finally to its full magnetic flip. Most of this research is spoken in "scientificeese" so I will do my best to make it understandable to most. What is transpiring is the awakening of a new science era. With new space instruments of crafts and satellites - along with new geological drilling of oceans floors which includes new instrumentation to observer Earth's outer core, mantle, lithosphere, and crust - an encompassed multi-disciplinary reservoir of data has brought forth the most competent consummation of the Sun-Earth connection. What happens to animals and humans during the process leading to a full magnetic flip? First, remember it is a process which takes a few thousand years. With each passing decade, the intensity increases as the Earth's magnetic field decreases. Current data suggests we are far along the process with just a few decades away from a full reversal. Continue »

Just as mentioned last night's interview on the Coast to Coast radio show, my thoughts of a large solar flare and CME has occurred. This happened just as three very active sunspot regions are rotating around the western limb of the Sun. It reminded me of the Nov. 3rd 2003 event. This one is much smaller, but has similarities as to location and action. Continue »

Only C-flares have been seen in the past 24 hours. M-class flares are likely at any time. The Earth is still under the influence of the CME that produced an ongoing geomagnetic storm that started with a shock wave at 17:30 UT on July 15th. Continue »

A major magnetic storm is expected in the coming hours as a consequence of the arrival of the CME associated to the X1.4 flare of July 12th. New M-class flare from 1520 today - also sunspot region 1523 shows makeup for M-class activity. Continue »

Today's CME (coronal mass ejection) appears to have come from the farside (backside) of the Sun - most likely from sunspot region 1515 which rotated around the western limb of the Sun on July 9th. It has displayed what is known as a "halo event" - which simply means the eruption of charged particles was disbursed in the form of a plasma cloud expanding in all directions. Continue »

An X1.4 flare has launched from sunspot region 1520 which sits directly in the center solar meridian. It has not yet been determined if a CME (coronal mass ejection) is associated with this event. Continue »

Sunspot region 1515 was the source of a July 6th X1.1 flare with peak time at 23:08 UT. A CME (coronal mass ejection) was released towards the southwest of the Sun which may just present a glancing blow to Earth. Continue »

The main source of current solar activity has been sunspot region 1515. It is now rotating around the Sun's western limb. However, there is a good chance it will continue to produce flare activity along its journey to the backside of the Sun. It appears region 1520 has the make-up to take 1515's place. Continue »
