I used to love The Phantom Tollbooth when I was young. This looks like a great product that my girl will love. She loves reading and is turning out to be quite techy as well.

Last week I had a birthday. It was a big one. As in, the big 3-0. I joked around the weeks leading up to my birthday and said things like, "I don't know how I feel about turning 30" and... Continue reading

It is so incredibly sad. I can't imagine living in Arizona right now. They say they're only stopping those that "look" illegal - I even heard someone say based on "illegal shoes, clothes, hair"...whatever that means. I'm just hoping nothing like this comes to Florida.

Katrina, that's so true! I stay in touch more with certain friends & family through facebook than I would if there were no facebook. LOL

I like that quote onlymom! Lynnie, I too want her to feel like she's contributing, but sometimes....it's just easier! ;)

I hear you on the potty training. My girl is 3 and also refuses to go in the potty. She'll sit on the potty, but won't "go". sigh....

See, that's the thing Caroline. When you live close to it, you don't really go as often as you'd think you would. Even being over an hour away, I say "If I lived closer, I'd come down every weekend." But, reality sinks in and real-life and errands take over.

Sarah: Yes. Hotel room would be cost per night times 6/7 nights times 3 rooms since there's 3 families. The house has 3 rooms, so when split 3 ways we're each spending the equivalent of maybe 3 hotel nights. Plus, it has a kitchen AND washer/dryer. Lynnie: It will be nice to get together like this. My brother lives in another state, so it's definitely good to share this vacation with him. Katrina: You're right, there are some ups AND downs, but overall I think we'll be fine. And, Hawaii WAS awesome. LOL

bananas & Cathy: I'm hoping it will be both heavenly & wonderful! I have no doubt it will be. NIck: That sounds like a great idea. I know teenagers are more likely to enjoy vacations with a close friend. My daughter is only 3, so I think I'm still safe. ;)

I don't think I ever went to summer camp as a kid. Guess I missed out. :(
