Hang on a minute. The argument above goes: (i) We need to make houses cheaper. (ii) The way to do this is to increase the supply by reducing the population, i.e., we need to reduce immigration. (iii) The reason we need to make houses cheaper is because the population is dwindling. Anyone spot the gap in the logic?
