Speaking of changing sea ice patterns on Hudson Bay and James Bay, some of you may be interested in the this film that explores how sea ice changes, related to hydro electric development in Northern Quebec and Manitoba are driving changes in currents and salinity levels. This is having an adverse affect on Polynya formation, and therefore the duck populations and the Inuit communities that rely on them. It is amazing how everything in the arctic is interconnected.
