We met 8 years ago at Volleyball at the YMCA. He was annoying and I didn't like him. He thought that he was "all that" and his cockiness pissed me off. Then, we played together during beach volleyball one summer after we were back at the YMCA come September and with all the trash talking that would go on between us...I came to look forward to seeing him on Tuesdays at 8pm. I guess you could say we became "volleyball buddies" and one night on our way to our cars he put his arm around me and asked if I wanted to go to a movie that weekend. I laughed in his face....then realized that he was serious. Ooops. I gave him my number and he said that he would call. I hadn't even left the parking lot and my phone rang...it was him making sure that I had given him the right number. Volleyball was on a Tuesday, we got together on the Friday....within the first year of being together we had moved in together, got engaged, and pregnant. That might be too much, or too fast for some...but everything felt perfect and not rushed for us. We haven't been seperated for more than 2 weeks and it's now been 6 years and we have two beautiful girls....still engaged though. LOL! Having a family and being able to buy our first house was more important to me than spending money on a wedding! Anywho...didn't know if you really wanted a response to what you wrote, but thought that I would share :) Hoping to hear when you find your special someone :)
