Well, i just wrote a long response and promptly lost it because I didn't log in first. here is the short version: I joined this on day 1 because I was curious about what it was and how it would work. I wasn't highly impressed and bascially ignored it for the most part for a few weeks. I found out about 10 days ago that I was ranked 217 out of 25,000+ people and was astounded by this. I decided to play with a little to see what would happen. I am now ranked 235 out of 28,051. Great. I gain nothing. I don't really care, except as an exercise of curiosity. I am buying, selling or winning anything, and I am surprised at how serious we take some of this stuff. One regret if that, is that Paul tried to help and got dragged into something which he didn't like. Sorry for that, again - but otherwise, it will all be over soon.

@Andy Thanks so much for posting on Human Race Horses. I am really enjoying the "Over There" series, as it gives us an opportunity to break down that invisible international barrier between countries that it is still hard to bridge, even via the internet. I love your blog!

Thanks for putting me on your list. I'm gonna do a post tomorrow on why and how I share...so prolifically...
You nailed this - KD. It's all about the money and the already existing business realtionships. Once inside, it is a lot easier for a union to work on these types of deals. Same thing happened at UPS with the Teamsters when UPS wanted out of the Teamsters Pension plan. UPS had to give card check language on UPS Ground.

Type A players lead the pack, but even Lebron james needed a better cast of roles players (the B dudes) to help him climb to a higher level. Keep up the good work Kris.. and adding a Happy Random Acts of Awareness Day kudos to you! -- Michael

Since he got hired at the University of Tennessee, new Vols head football coach Lane Kiffin has made several bone headed mistakes, including antagonizing Urban Meyer and Steve Spurrier. Maybe Crazy Al wasn't as off base with that overhead flipchart warning letter as it seems! Michael

Nice post, KD. The sources of inspiration are endless, and it is no surprise that WOW would become of innovation. Let's just hope it doesn;t become a leadership training inspiration as well!

Who doesn't have ablog, or LinkedIn account, or use twitter? It is almost incomprehensible to me that HR professionals overlook these important tools. Kris, you should add me to your follow on twitter. I tried to DM you today with an idea and couldn't send it! twitter id = @mvndrvrt
