First of all how cute K and K. I love it. Cake for breakfast makes perfect sense to me. It has flour, eggs, and milk and in this case some good fiber too. Every man I know loves German Chocolate cake. Happy Birthday to the king of Kim's heart. Nancy M.

Wonderful garden Kim! we are battling weeds here in the Valley of The Sun. Yesterday we worded on them and pruned the Pyracantha. Hubby mowed the lawn for the first time this year. We have grass that is dormant in the winter months. It feels so good doesn't it! Your front porch is inviting Kim. I look forward to seeing a full view picture soon. I have volunteered for MOPS. I helped with the two year old toddlers. What a joy that was. The moms will love Daisy Cottage!! Nancy M. + + U

Wow!!! Where should I start. At the being I think. The pot of daisies is sooo inviting. I am about to go into our garden with my Mr Wonderful but I stopped here first and I am so glad I did. What a wonderful thing we have going here at Daisy Cottage with support, inspiration and friendship to name a few reasons why we come. Maggie, congrats! I agree wholeheartedly with Kim and the others that you are sweet. You are a winner! Diane, I say amen to Kim's advise. Don't worry about pleasing anyone except you and any people you share your home with. If you like it most likly they will like any changes you make too. When I want a fresh start I enmty the room with everything except the furniture and if I don't like it the furniture goes too. I clean real good then I move the furniture around. Stand back and look. When satisfied start decorating. Sometimes I paint the room. Go thrifting at this point and find things you like. It is not always perfect the first time. You have to play with it. All of this takes time but the rewards are so satisfing. Don't keep something in the room just because it has sentimental value. If it does not improve the place where it sits find it a new home. Many thift stores in my area have discount days sometimes. Last but not least are those blond brownies. Wow they look great Kim. Cream please! Nancy M. :)

I love doing my laundry as I gather a load. I used to do it on Saturday when I had a job away from home. Now that I don't have to be away from home I am random. Went thrifting yesterday and only found two things. A bread basket and a coffee mug. Spent all of a dollar. I am free to be me thank God! My government does give me certain freedoms but my God gives me complete freedom to be me. The choice is mine. I went to BibleGateay.com and word searched freedom. It was revealing. My favorite was Psalms 119:45: "I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts". Thanks Kim, Nancy M.

Kim, I have a low thyroid hormone and one of the symptoms is being cold as the thyroid hormone helps to regulate our body temp. The lab test is called TSH. I take a thyroid hormone pill daily. Doctors order this test routinely for patients after a certain age. So pears are your nemesis! I was just thinking yesterday that there was nothing you did not like. Now we know. I can not tolerate okra or turnips. I know people who love both. I do love the begonia in the blue pot. Nancy M.

You are going right up my alley today Kim. When something grabs me and I am not sure if it is right I ask myself, "self, if I don't purchase the item will it haunt me"? I have been haunted in the past and I don't like it. I call those item "haunters". Donating and purchasing from thrift shops is a great benefit to the charites sponsored and the planet not to mention our pocketbooks. How great is that! Nancy M.

I am sorry you are not feeling well Kim. I found Tylenol Cold helped me when I had it. I used to drink wine; to much wine and now I don't drink any. A tall glass of ice water with a slice a beautiful lemon slice is what I love. I recently found a berry hot tea that is really good. I hope you are feeling well soon. Hugs, Nancy M.

Sunny and bright or dull and cold outside our homes can be warm, inspirational places to make our own. Daisy Cottage is proof of that. Thank you Kim for providing the inspiration to look around our abodes with creative eyes. Maggie, Don't be so spoiled. Your mommy is the best! Now I am going to go paint something a bright color.
