You know what everyone;
I think this would be a good time to review Daisy Cottage archives.
Kim,
Thanks for letting us know you will be away from here for awhile. I hope you have a great time with your MOPS moms and in all you do.
Happy Birthday to you Kim's Mom!!
Happy Blessed Easter to everyone.
Goodbye For Now
I am REALLY going to miss you. Very very very much. But I will be back soon. The MOPS are coming tomorrow to Daisy Cottage! I am cleaning and primping and HOPING that they enjoy their visit. AND I happily have a new home story to write for Romantic Country. Glorious Easter is coming...
First of all how cute K and K. I love it.
Cake for breakfast makes perfect sense to me. It has flour, eggs, and milk and in this case some good fiber too.
Every man I know loves German Chocolate cake.
Happy Birthday to the king of Kim's heart.

Yum!
We celebrated Mr. Daisy Cottage's birthday on Sunday. He had a wonderful day. And guess what that means? Cake for breakfast! ;-) Kim
Our lives are what we make them. Even when times are hard. We feed off each other here at Daisy Cottage and the inspiration we find is positively charming.
Kim,your home is sunny and bright and a great place for flowers, birds, butterflies, Maggie etc, etc. XO Nancy M.
Hello Weekend
Hello beautiful weekend-to-be. I am so looking forward to our neighborhood home tour on Saturday and to the golden sunshine that my Florida is famous for. IF it should rain, I will be prepared with my red umbrella - but of course! ;-) Thank you dear flowers for staying alive one WHOLE ...

Bliss
It doesn't take much. A back porch and a quilt will do. And of course coffee. Ahhh coffee. How I love thee. Add some toasted raisin bread dappled with a little pat of butter or two ... And a bucket of daisies ... And don't forget my sweet baby ... And I have myself a ...
Curious
Nancy M. is curious.
So Tell Me ...
Come on in, I'm almost done with my dusting ... And since you know me, you know that if I am dusting that means I am also pondering something. ;-) So tell me please .. If you had to describe yourself with only ONE word, what would that word be? xo, Kim ...
Wonderful garden Kim!
we are battling weeds here in the Valley of The Sun. Yesterday we worded on them and pruned the Pyracantha. Hubby mowed the lawn for the first time this year. We have grass that is dormant in the winter months. It feels so good doesn't it!
Your front porch is inviting Kim. I look forward to seeing a full view picture soon.
I have volunteered for MOPS. I helped with the two year old toddlers. What a joy that was. The moms will love Daisy Cottage!!

Flower Girl
Over the past weekend, while Maggie sat back and enjoyed the spring breeze, her Mommy and Daddy worked VERY hard on their Daisy Cottage garden. Well, actually, her Mommy needs to be honest and say that Maggie's Daddy was the one who worked VERY hard. While Mommy did make a very good assist...
Wow!!! Where should I start. At the being I think. The pot of daisies is sooo inviting. I am about to go into our garden with my Mr Wonderful but I stopped here first and I am so glad I did. What a wonderful thing we have going here at Daisy Cottage with support, inspiration and friendship to name a few reasons why we come.
Maggie, congrats! I agree wholeheartedly with Kim and the others that you are sweet. You are a winner!
Diane, I say amen to Kim's advise. Don't worry about pleasing anyone except you and any people you share your home with. If you like it most likly they will like any changes you make too. When I want a fresh start I enmty the room with everything except the furniture and if I don't like it the furniture goes too. I clean real good then I move the furniture around. Stand back and look. When satisfied start decorating. Sometimes I paint the room. Go thrifting at this point and find things you like. It is not always perfect the first time. You have to play with it. All of this takes time but the rewards are so satisfing. Don't keep something in the room just because it has sentimental value. If it does not improve the place where it sits find it a new home. Many thift stores in my area have discount days sometimes.
Last but not least are those blond brownies. Wow they look great Kim.
Cream please!
Nancy M. :)
Dear YOU ...
As I dug in the dirt and worked in our garden ALL weekend side by side with Mr. Daisy Cottage, I thought about you. As I listened to the playful birds and felt the cool spring breeze on my face, I thought about you. As I held my little Maggie when she begged for attention, I thought about...
I love doing my laundry as I gather a load. I used to do it on Saturday when I had a job away from home. Now that I don't have to be away from home I am random. Went thrifting yesterday and only found two things. A bread basket and a coffee mug. Spent all of a dollar.
I am free to be me thank God! My government does give me certain freedoms but my God gives me complete freedom to be me. The choice is mine. I went to BibleGateay.com and word searched freedom. It was revealing. My favorite was Psalms 119:45: "I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts".
Thanks Kim,
Nancy M.
Laundry Day
It is laundry day. Now it isn't laundry day because I have an official wash day, however. Do you? No, I simply wash on demand. Again - random. Oh am I ever SO random. Anywho - I found a few new clothing items while thrifting the other day. New to me - but not actually new. I am w...
Kim,
I have a low thyroid hormone and one of the symptoms is being cold as the thyroid hormone helps to regulate our body temp. The lab test is called TSH. I take a thyroid hormone pill daily. Doctors order this test routinely for patients after a certain age.
So pears are your nemesis! I was just thinking yesterday that there was nothing you did not like. Now we know. I can not tolerate okra or turnips. I know people who love both.
I do love the begonia in the blue pot.
Nancy M.
I Can't Bear ...
I know many of you giggle and simply don't believe me when I say that it is cold here. It has been a VERY cold Florida winter. It really has. Right Florida girls? And of course I know that our cold is not your cold - my dear northern sisters and brothers who have been enduring the kind of...
You are going right up my alley today Kim.
When something grabs me and I am not sure if it is right I ask myself, "self, if I don't purchase the item will it haunt me"? I have been haunted in the past and I don't like it. I call those item "haunters". Donating and purchasing from thrift shops is a great benefit to the charites sponsored and the planet not to mention our pocketbooks.
How great is that!

Curtain Call
Well of course you know that I love my Goodwill. I say "my" because I tend to claim everything as mine. I love love love to share but I love things to be mine. You know, like "my post office." No my post office isn't built on a slope. It was windy on this day and I kind of got blo...
March is a great month! I love to see the world bloom and grow.
Amazing red coffee mug and warm yellow lamp Kim. I love, love the colors in your world.
Here is the Valley of The Sun March weather came in like a lion so as the saying goes will go out like a lamb? We shall see.
Love my visit's to Daisy Cottage!
Nancy M.
Hello March
Hello March. My, you are beautiful. I cannot wait to lay my eyes upon you, embrace every single thing about you, completely inhale you, and unabashedly live you. And I will, just as soon as I finish my coffee. ;-) Kim
I am sorry you are not feeling well Kim. I found Tylenol Cold helped me when I had it.
I used to drink wine; to much wine and now I don't drink any. A tall glass of ice water with a slice a beautiful lemon slice is what I love. I recently found a berry hot tea that is really good.
I hope you are feeling well soon.
Hugs,
Nancy M.
Playing Favorites
Speaking of wine .... This wine is my new favorite. Let's just say it is fabulous. Look at the darling label. Me being me - the label is VERY important. Oh I know, the taste should be, and it is, but the label? Now that IS important. ;-) This is a red ...
Sunny and bright or dull and cold outside our homes can be warm, inspirational places to make our own. Daisy Cottage is proof of that. Thank you Kim for providing the inspiration to look around our abodes with creative eyes. Maggie, Don't be so spoiled. Your mommy is the best!
Now I am going to go paint something a bright color.
Nancy M.
Nesting
No, I'm not pregnant. Those days are long long gone. I'm just in the mood to nest. To fluff. To play. To twitter about. How about you little one - are you in the mood to nest too? My music is on, my scented candle is lit, and while Maggie pouts, I'm going to nest a bit...

I am first and foremost a person who believes with all my being that God is our Father and Jesus the Christ is my savior and the Holy Spirit is my guide through this life. With that being the case everything I do is with that in mind and heart.... Continue reading
