Interests: My work has evolved organically. Changing with technology and more significantly, the needs of my family and clients. From art director to corporate design and marketing, to mother, teacher and project designer. Currently I'm mother and part-time design and media consultant, working with a growing list of inspiring artists and business owners. Change is constant. Best to roll with it and enjoy the ride. Here on my blog I share patterns and project tutorials and small glimpses at other interests, mainly about family and nature. Blogging has changed a lot since I began in 2006, but this space has brought me many great friends and opportunities I'd never imagined. I'll try to always return to it.

Child's apron This apron is quick to make using bits from your fabric stash. It will fit a child aged 5 - 10 (maybe even 12) but could easily be enlarged for adults. Materials: Three pieces of heavy cotton (I... Continue reading

It's February 1st, and I'm getting around to reflecting on 2013. I don't want to forget because it was mostly a really big year for us. Gracie left primary school and began secondary school. Her team won their regional rounders... Continue reading

Everything is go for you! Love your healthy outlook. Keeping fingers crossed for finding your mom a perfect place. x
It will be a special Christmas, the first in your new home - exciting. Congratulations, best of luck for finding the perfect place for mama too. We moved one year at Christmas so I decorated twigs in a big pot, I liked it, my children were less impressed. We're getting the cold too, can't believe snow possible this week!
I'm so happy you liked it. I hope it all works out well, sounds like its meant to be. If not another will come along. Thanks for the update, been thinking about you. x

You have a very healthy approach to staying fit and healthy, the kind of good habits that last. I love a DVD by a ballerina too, maybe I've said before but I use Darcey Bussell's pilates DVD. I've done it so often that I now do the moves I like best without the DVD. Even though I only get to do 20 or 30 mins a day (usually only 20) it keeps me flexible. I'm hoping it will help keep arthritis at bay, it runs rife in our family. This is a fun video link. I wish I could say I "moved" to it but instead I had seconds of dinner while I watched :) x PS, the children aren't home so I can eat and watch ;)
