Hi, I'm Adam. Currently I'm responsible for the Runners' Lounge site and making it operational. I work for a company in North Carolina where we manufacture shoe laces, but also distribute other shoe & foot products (ie socks, cleaners, insoles, etc.)
It's been a sprint since I learned that the current site will be coming down at the end of this month, and I've been working non-stop to get a new site working. My hopes are to have it running before the deadline, so the change will be seamless. At first I'm going to keep the site similar to the old one, just for the time being. But with the ease and flexibility of Wordpress, it will be easy to make these changes while it's up and running.
Thanks for your feedback. Hope to have things going soon.
Adam.
New Beginnings for Runners Lounge
Greetings Loungers, I hope everyone has had a great beginning to 2012. Earlier last year it was posted that The Runner’s Lounge site was going to be changing hands. You probably haven’t noticed any changes at all, and this is true. Something we’ve wanted to do here at Runner’s Lounge is to keep ...
Waterfront, Tuesday continued
We took the free busline to the waterfront and had some lunch, visited Pikes market and the Seattle Aquarium. The aquarium is awesome. The hands on tidal pools and giant octopus were cool. The weather is a perfect 70 and sunny. Much more tolerable than the weather in Iowa. Continue reading

Pioneer Square
We visited the Pioneer Square area in the first part of the day. The Police Museum first, where Jim donated a Warren County Sheriff patch. Then the Klondike Gold Rush museum and then the glass blowing store to browse and watch. Continue reading

Can you say Donuts?
Good morning Seattle! We noticed Top Pot Donuts was a few blocks from our hotel on Monday so we had a mission Tuesday morning to try a few of the lucious beauties on their menu. Top Pots didn't disappoint. Their donuts are spectacular. And now we all have enough pure... Continue reading

Monday afternoon - we spent the afternoon at the Space Needle and surrounding Seattle Center. The Space Center provided amazing views. The fountain was amazing! It was National Skateboarding Day so we spent time watching a local competition. We even took in the science fiction center and experience music project.... Continue reading

Ahhh the life of luxury
Our good vacation karma continues. I mentioned that our hotel roulette on Hotwire gifted us with a night at the Westin at a very low rate. (thanks Darcy K for the great Hotwire tip!) The Westin is good any time, but it feels extra luxurious with it's excellent bedding after... Continue reading

Our Guide Is Packed Away
As we transition to the metro part of our trip, we reluctantly packed away our Tracks and Trails travel binder. It is amazing we made it through the trip as planned and that was due to the well planned, thoughtful agenda from Teacks and Trails. Our binder was like a... Continue reading

Cruise America Rocks!
RV has been returned and we are taxing to downtown. But before we close out the RV portion of our vacation, a big shout out to Cruise America. They are the most friendly, helpful, accomodating service oriented people around. They made the rental process quick, easy, and not stressful. All... Continue reading

Seattle KOA
Our last campground was the Seattle KOA outside of Kent WA, about 10 minutes outside of dowtown Seattle. Very friendly people and very level Sites! But the highlight was their very large, clean, hot showers. Not that the shower in the RV wasn't good, but hot water was limited for... Continue reading

Calling an Audible
Our itinerary called for 2 days at Mt Rainier, but the weather did not. So we called an audible and headed back to Seattle. We are going to add an additional day in downtown Seattle and take in the sites. We spun the hotel roulette wheel on HotWire and got... Continue reading

Anyone seen Mt Rainier?
A wet evening gave way to a wet day on Mt Rainier. We kept hoping for a weather miracle, but it never came. We were encased in a deep fog for our visit. We never did catch a glipse of the stately mountain. But on the bright side, the thick... Continue reading

The Trails at Mt Rainier
We couldn't soak in the beauty of all the overlooks due to the fog, so we took in some of the trails that gave us views of many Falls, creeks and forest wonders. Narada Falls and the trail to Comet Falls was especially gorgeous. I was looking forward to the... Continue reading

Happy Fathers Day Jim!
I managed to think through all my lists: work, home, vacation, pets, etc but forgot to think ahead to Fathers Day. So Jim got lots of hugs from the kids and a big breakfast of pancakes, sausage and eggs. This trip was his Christmas present, so can't double count it,... Continue reading

Cougar Rock Campground
We made it! I am do glad to be done traveling for the day. The campground is spectacular! It was worth the 3400 foot climb over the last few miles. Couldn't have asked for more beautiful background. It would be nice to have the rain end...but that doesn't look like... Continue reading

7. The Drive, continued Ok, that was a long drive. I have a maximum car shelf life of 2 hours. I can barely get myself to work and back without losing my mind. I hate sitting, I don't like doing one thing at s time, and driving isn't high on... Continue reading

Observations About Washington State
- Seems more rural, with smaller towns - Houses are smaller and older - Walmarts aren't in every town, andcif they are there they are small - Hometown grocery stores and merchants still make up the town. - Great roads! - not many chain restaurants - gas is more -... Continue reading

We were woefully low on clean, warm clothes by Day...
We were woefully low on clean, warm clothes by Day 5. Our adventures got us grimey and wet and nothing would dry in the low, wet temps. I had packed plenty clothes, but had bet on warmer temps to even out the wear. Oh well - it just meant we... Continue reading

Thoughts from the beach
