I've always made the day a paid day off for my veteran employees. Even the ones who were military flacks. .

My dad was an instructor pilot for the B-17 during the war. As a very young boy I was allowed to sit in the pilot seat of this plane. Pilots being pilots, that's what you did. It was an amazing sight. And this, was a wonderful article. Thank you. .

I'm willing to pay more for labor, if the State is willing to mandate that everyone use my services at a higher price. Who needs markets when we have good ideas? .

Saw that. The absent pronoun confusion. Written on the fly ten minutes before newscast. Sin in haste, repent at leisure. .

Oregon will have a new Governor, starting Wednesday, February 18th, at ten a.m. Her name is Kate Brown, Oregon’s Secretary of State, who will assume the Governorship following the resignation, announced today, of four term governor, John Kitzhaber. Kitzhaber’s resignation came in response to increased calls to resign from leaders of the Democratically controlled House and Senate. Concerns about the governor center around his relationship with his live-in girlfriend, and political lobbyist, Cylvia Hayes. It came to a head when it was learned that Governor Kitzhaber had ordered the destruction of thousands of e-mails from state servers. This latest move follows information being sought on the activities of Cylvia Hayes, a clean energy lobbyist whose clients belong to an economic sector that wouldn’t exist without massive government subsidies. Ms. Hayes came under investigation for lobbying work she did while living with the governor, and while advising the Governor on clean-energy issues. Living in the Governor’s Mansion, Mahonia Hall, Willamette Week’s Nigel Jaquiss reported that Hayes was trading on her role as First Lady to enhance her private consulting work. Then reports of Haye’s marriage of convenience to an alien resident who wanted to remain in the states for a cash payment to Hayes, attempts to begin an illegal marijuana grow operation, and thousands of dollars in consulting fees which she failed to report on her income taxes, led to calls for investigations that now include ethics investigations, as well as state and federal criminal investigations. The Governor is 67 and began service in state government in 1978 when he was elected to the Oregon State House. In 1980 he was elected to the Senate, and served as Senate President from 1985 to 1993. He was first elected Governor in 1995.

Got a phone call this morning, telling me that the IRS was going to prosecute me for tax violations. Unless I called this phone number: 206-855-5833 http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-206-855-5833/2 Mebbe the First Squeeze should give them a credit card number. .

Studentry nullification. When at least half of the students are smarter than all of the teachers, you're going to choose a different path. .
I wish BOLI would back off of requring me to pay my employees to train them. You pay attention, learn, work, and you'll make a decent living. Commission sales isn't for everyone, sure. Seems like most kids want to be the boss, without understanding what it takes to do the work. Oh, and stay off my lawn. .

Would only that someone hand the President any of the writings of former war presidents. War is hard, is horrible. But if it must be done, it must be done as hard and horribly as is possible. America is at war. The President is at the golf course. .

To be fair, municipalities are required to follow state law. The state's constitution tells its subdivisions that they cannot escape their pensions plans through bankruptcy. I think that's what the judge ruled. I think that is in the Tenth Amendment. .
