So many of your comments hit home here too! It's such a treasure to have an almost six month old, and I know that there will be many more new memories as she grows and changes. Thanks for sharing all about your sweet little one.

Oh! We really should give treats in exchange for that mountain of candy! (I say this as my two year old dangles a bag of M&Ms in my face saying "I want those.") Oh my!

I would say that it turned out more than OK! Amazing for not knowing how to read the language of the directions.

I'm so inspired. I can't wait to start my garden this next year. I just received the Rhythm of Family in the mail, and it has me all excited for new projects as well!

We have so much to learn from the older generations. Plus, I love the wisdom of learning from our mistakes... Your title made me think of the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15. The father rejoices in his son who made mistakes returning to him.

It's bittersweet. I love your beautiful photos! I can't wait to get some sewing done. Just a little more cleaning to finish up!

I'm SURE the signs will do it! ;) But seriously, have you considered putting a dog on the run outside of the chicken yard? That always did the trick for my parents years ago. If the dog escaped for the night there were problems, but otherwise he kept the chickens, turkeys, and ducks safe...

Those turkeys grew fast! Your Adelaide reminds me of myself as a child. Loved our ducks, chickens, and turkeys. I actually wouldn't eat chicken or turkey until after my parents got rid of them! Here's my moment: http://organicaspirations.blogspot.com/2011/10/this-moment_14.html

It sounds like Ezra likes to read like me. One book at a time is just NOT enough! We love bedtime stories to as part of our routine (like yours it's always changing.) Goodnight Moon for the little ones and Alexander who Used to be Rich Last Sunday for the older crowd are the house favorites.

I'm learning to knit too! (Better late than never- your kids have such a head start on me!) Now if only my baby would find her thumb. (Fingers do have a way of gagging!)
