Dear All, January has come and gone, and I have spent most of it away from home. We got back from the fatherland on Sunday, laden with wine and beer. There was much eating, much beer drinking, wine tasting and... Continue reading

Dear All, I find myself in Cellardyke this afternoon, one of the villages down the coast from us. My friend is house- and catsitting this weekend, and I tagged along for an afternoon of knitting by the fire and thinking... Continue reading

Dear All, Most of December was spent looking at the snow, and thinking about the snow, and worrying about the snow. I ended up spending Christmas in Wales with the future in-laws (unplanned), and New Year's (as planned) in Leeds.... Continue reading

Dear all, We are still snowed in (of course). We did manage to dig the car out, and made it into town to stock up on essentials (potatoes, cheese, booze) yesterday. There are icicles on the windows. Most of them... Continue reading

Dear all, The coldspell continues. We have had an awful lot of snow - over a foot now! The sheep are cold, we are cold, and the roads are very tricky. This is the view from our front door: Snow... Continue reading

We didnt make it to any knitting shops in NY! (but have since bought yarn at various ones in Connecticut!) It was a great day out, though thoroughly exhausting. I loved it, and am thinking of heading back for the day before I leave America at the end of the month - were only 26$ return and an hour and a half by train from NYC.
