Just to clarify, G. Gordon Liddy was correct to assert that whatever order Nixon gave, Liddy was obliged to carry it out?
Army to court martial Birther clown
We've been around this block enough times, but to clarify once again- Officers in the military do not get to question the credentials of those lawfully appointed over them. That includes, without question, the Commander in Chief. The second that he was inaugurated as President, Barack Obama beca...
Can you say photoop?
Presidential Salute?
Our current CinC has taken a rash of crap on practically every issue imaginable, and deservedly so in most cases, but I've got to make note of something. He's dramatically improved his salute. My guess is, working around a bunch of Marines in the WH there is an example he's trying to follow. I'...
I worry about you jimbo.
Judge orders release of Gitmo grenadier
The young detainee held at Guantanamo for throwing a hand grenade that wounded two US troops has been ordered released by a judge. Mohammed Jawad, whose case has generated intense support from human rights groups, might have been as young as 12 when he was arrested by Afghan authorities and tur...
It is striking that the political divide seems to be along racial lines. Is there any democratic who believes in this country anymore?
New York State's Problem and America's
Leftists. New York State Senate Democrats refuse to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States. And when one of their number tries to stand, he is pulled down. So does that mean that this particular group has no allegiance, no loyalty--no Fidelity--toward this country? Just won...
WHy do you even need to ask if he gets it? The obvious answer is no and it has been from the nomination campaign.
Does This Guy Even Begin To “Get It”?
On April 3-4, President Obama will attend a summit in Strasbourg, France and meet NATO leaders for the first time. One of the promises he made during his campaign for the presidency is he’d improve relations between the US and other countries around the globe. One would assume that means those w...
"I hope President Obama can learn from the fact that he was dead wrong on Iraq, and will listen to Gen. Petraeus and the folks who gave us the winning strategy there as he and his team look for answers in Afghanistan." You can hope all you want but his arrogance will not allow him to accept any information or suggestions that conflict with his pernicious political philosophy.
Obama's War?
President Obama has now taken ownership of the war in Afghanistan and stepped fully into his role as Commander in Chief. In his first such action as president, Obama ordered an additional 17,000 combat troops to Afghanistan. The first thing I want to do is call BS on my headline. It was wrong w...
Uncle Jimbo, I couldn't disagree with you more. I agree fully with zero. I will not wish Obama good luck in his implementation of policies I consider to be detrimental to the type of country I want to live in. He has made no secret of his disrespect for the constitution and his contempt for middle america. If it isn't considered unamerican to spread lies about a candidate and his running mate and to slam them personally and twist everything they say at every opportunity maybe we should consider it to be. No Jimbo, I wish America good luck, we'll need it but I have no such wish for Obama and his gang of useful idiots.
Good Luck to President Obama
One of the more revolting things to watch over the past 8 years has been the disgusting behavior of far too many on the left. Their hatred and derangement over the very existence of President George W. Bush led them to act in ways they ought to be ashamed about. Add in the the Palin hatred and o...
I am a died in the wool libertarian, and yet, I would welcome laws with teeth requiring US and companies doing business in the US to remove any and all middle east companies as a supply source for US energy needs. Like it or not, energy is a national security issue.
Risks, Risk Assessment, and Cassandras
Because Psychoanalysts see people who tend to have dysfunctional ways of approaching the world around them, it is fairly common for us to notice on-coming train wrecks well before our patients are cognizant of the disasters they often unconsciously facilitate. Most young therapists will attemp...
Many blessings for your uncle.
My Uncle Lou
This is an unusual Blog post. I don't often write about personal matters and I try to post earlier in the day. Today is a little different. I have just returned from the funeral of my Uncle Lou, who passed away after a full, rich life at 91. Although Uncle Lou was, in reality, my Great-Uncle, I ...
Oh please, why continue with fiction that there is any question that the article was nbogus. I take anything they report with a whole box of salt. They're almost as bad as the New Times or Village Voice. The on;y people who take the times, NY or LA, seriously are liberal dolts who want to believe the worst.
Is the LA Times Publishing Enemy Propaganda?
Answer: Patterico examines a recent article published by the LA Times which got all of its information from a stringer about an American airstrike that alledgely killed 30 civilians in Ramadi: Is the L.A. Times reporting unconfirmed enemy propaganda from an Iraqi stringer with ties to the insur...
