Have not heard anything about how the courts are playing but Djokovic did say after losing to Federer in Cincinnati that the courts will be slower. Cincinnati is one of the faster courts on the tour. In case of Serena, I can believe that on being slower than Wimbledon but the key, IMO, is that you get a truer bounce on hardcourts than on grass where on grass, the ball stays low. But, if Serena hits her spots, it will not matter what surface the matches are played on.
