I favour Chrome as my primary browser. I’m a Firefox advocate and recently appreciate the intelligence of Ghostery’ browser offer. Chrome operates across all my devices providing a portal to my cloud apps, services, tools and online documents... oh and... Continue reading

We have AltSpace, SecondLife, GatherTown, RoBlox, to name a few on the immersive list. There are 2D, 3D and VR options. We visited Kumospaces What I do like is the special audio. Move towards the grand piano and lounge musak can be heard. Getting a digi-drink at the bar and watch it slowly dry. Nice early days touches. Continue reading

The Symposium took place in one Zoom Meeting. It used Polls and Breakout Rooms, it pinned and spotlighted, its shared audio, QuickTime video, keynote and PDF preview. A Whereby video room as a helpdesk was open throughout running in parallel. Closed Caption and live transcription was available too. Continue reading

May is on its way out. The world has stopped but moves on a pace. Filled with horror and calm. I struggle with dyslexia. I see it has positives and I spin my experience to this end. However it’s left... Continue reading

News sourcing and cross referencing to evaluate credibility is not easy. No one should take their news from a single source. I take glancing news from bbc news. Deeper insights and wider stories I use Ground News, NewsFlash and UK... Continue reading

I want to keep A high street. It’s a social space designated for commerce. What can I do? I can share what’s here. I wasn’t sure where to start. I knew I wanted to do something like this. In town today I stood outside Ucig a local e cigarette shop where my partner was buying vape liquids. Continue reading

Immersive experiences blur these lines. Who is paid and who pays. That isn’t blurry. Being part of the story or being the story. What does technology do to an experience? Entering the unknown or entering the familiar. A regular theatre... Continue reading

Keeping events simple is important. Friday’s Royal Historical Society virtual lecture was an intro and speaker, a Q&A then an end. Plus an audience. It has to be well presented. Music as the audience enters. The same sound to everyone.... Continue reading

9.00 am I walked down the street, turned left at the corner and in just a few minutes I’d arrived at Long Eaton town hall, votes and was heading home. It was a duty but felt empty and unimportant. What... Continue reading

It happened again only hitting the recognition circuit on receipt of an email asking if the link was correct 4 hrs after I should have hosted a late evening UK time social for the Online Branch. Horror! This is one I should have been at. This time wipe was disconcerted. Especially in the light of Thursday! Continue reading

The night in March 2009 I chose to attend a cinema session I was curious. I’d read/played the pick-your-story books and Ian Livingstone dice rolling books. A pick-the-story film was new to me and that this one was a retro experience intrigued me. Definitely one of the distinct instances that has shaped the work I’m embarking upon in 2021. It was the early experiences with mind enthralling opportunities like Legend Quest in the early 90’s that led my technology fascination in performative suspended disbelief. The forest decor evolved over a period of a few years. Finding the YouTube video was a real find. Continue reading

An aspect of my dyslexia makes it hard for me to put complex ideas down on paper. I’m hoping that regularly writing will facilitate the flow of words to accompany and augment the translation of the multiple ideas I need to express and contextualise in order to succeed or it always feels like that. Continue reading

Since lockdown I’ve been in digital theatre heaven! Sharing skills, Zoom especially and insights to content creation as well and production curation. My greatest desire is to encourage blending of the audience experience as much as the digital translation of live on the ground performing with digitally augmented cloud performance. Continue reading
