Flyers have signed goalie Michal Neuvirth to two-year deal, $1.5 M in Year 1 and $1.75 million in Year 2 — Pierre LeBrun (@Real_ESPNLeBrun) July 1, 2015 Neuvirth has a 2.73 GAA and .912 save percentage in 168 career NHL games spanning in seven seasons. Pronger played 18 seasons in the NHL with the Hartford Whalers, St. Louis Blues, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks and the Flyers. He won the Stanley Cup in 2007 with Anaheim and also went to the Final twice, once with the Oilers in 2006 and again here in Philly in 2010. In eleven seasons at the University of North Dakota, he amassed a 289-143-43 record. He took North Dakota to the Frozen Four seven times and never missed the NCAA tournament as head coach. Those looking for a Flyers connection, Ron Hextall's son Brett played for him as did Chris VandeVelde. He has also coached Jonathan Toews, T.J. Oshie and Travis Zajac among others. Continue reading
