Max Blumenthal Lies Again About Geller
Max Blumenthal, notorious Jew hater, is lying, slandering and making up racist propaganda against me again. I have no idea what this rally is. I have no idea who these people are. I have no idea who organized this rally. Clearly, whoever organized this was careless, unprepared, shooting from the...
[CHENEY:Khalid Sheikh Muhammed and other al-Qaeda operatives, only turning to enhanced techniques when we failed to produce the actionable intelligence we knew they were withholding.]
This is a lie. KSH began talking as soon as he was captured and revealed many important facts according to CIA reports. More here:

Now, a Cheney surge: Blasts Obama for Afghan 'dithering,' delays and indecision
With public support for the Afghan conflict melting and approval of the president's job as commander in chief waning, two top Barack Obama aides -- senior advisor David Axelrod and Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel -- went on the TV talk shows Sunday and used very similar words to explain their l...

Unidentified Pretend Economist
If you are going to criticize people for their economics and professional standards, shouldn't you try to live up to your own expectations? Richard Posner says: I am concerned with the fact that academic economists, when they become either public officials or public intellectuals (like Paul Krug...
Yeah, this reminds of how Goldwater and other big-time conservatives backed away from Robert Welch but noted that a lot of good people were Birchers.
It's OK, I'm Over You
The Politico informs us that the birthers are giving the GOP "headaches." Like I said last week, I don't see why fringe crazies like should worry too much about fringe crazies making them look like fringe crazies, and what isn't crazy about the GOP nowadays? As evidence of this observation I ci...

The Real Celebrities Go Unnoticed
We are a nauseatingly celebrity obsessed culture. We tend to worship a group of people as heroes whose job, for the most part,is to pretend they're other people when they act, or to sing songs others have written for them. Certainly Michael Jackson was in a league of his own, in more ways than o...

Used to be One of the Rotten Ones

If you checked Steve you would see that Brennan opposed coercive interrogation and your team still threw him under the bus.
Cordially,
Uncle J
I didn't do the checking but Glenn Greenwald did:

Obama CIA pick- The lurch left begins

A lot of the budget cuts he pushed for back then were what led to the horrible intel situation of the late 1990s to September 2001.

This is not true. We opposed Brennan because he supported breaking OUR laws against torture.

However, my point is that she's privy to military and intelligence secrets no other governor is. She has to be.
No, she doesn't need to be. In fact, it would be pointless to keep her informed.

REALITY CHECK -
"Maj. Gen. Craig Campbell, adjutant general of the Alaska National Guard, considers Palin "extremely responsive and smart" and says she is in charge when it comes to in-state services, such as emergencies and natural disasters where the National Guard is the first responder.
But, in an interview with The Associated Press on Sunday, he said he and Palin play no role in national defense activities, even when they involve the Alaska National Guard. The entire operation is under federal control, and the governor is not briefed on situations. "

By your definition, then, the man who hands over his wallet at gunpoint is donating to the poor?
In a Christian Democracy, Communism would be the preferred form of economic policy.

Obama and America. The Democrat’s Achilles’ heel in this model is an inchoate sense among some voters that the new arrival on the national stage with the unusual biography — who’s the first black nominee from either party — isn’t American enough. Prior to Obama’s trip overseas, though, McCain ha...
Steve, you missed the major point and a glaring difference between Communism and Christianity/charity. The people detailed in the Acts account were pooling their resources VOLUNTARILY.
SO? It's still Communism.

That's NOT what she said although gasbags like Fats and Hannity want you to believe that.
Michelle Obama: "For the First Time in My Adult Lifetime, I'm Really Proud of My Country"
February 18, 2008 8:24 PM
Speaking in Milwaukee, Wisconsin today, would-be First Lady Michelle Obama said, "for the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback."
Then in Madison, she said, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I'm really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."

Obama is an America hating commie fraud.
LOL! You must also hate Christians:
Acts of the Apostles
(New Revised Standard version)
4:32 Now the whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they owned was held in common.
4:34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold.
4:35 They laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.

The Webb bill which started benefits early and could have affected retention by lowering the bar for getting full bennies. McCain supported the other version as did most of the military.
I don't know what "most of the military" supported and neither do you. McCain wanted to vote against well-deserved benefits and this wouldn't be the first time. When confronted at a town hall about his votes on veterans issues, McCain decided that we wouldn't talk about it at all.
Some "straight talk," huh?

British Criticize Air Attacks in Afghan Region

(excerpts)
SANGIN, Afghanistan — A senior British commander in southern Afghanistan said in recent weeks that he had asked that American Special Forces leave his area of operations because the high level of civilian casualties they had caused was making it difficult to win over local people.
In just two cases, airstrikes killed 31 nomads west of Kandahar in November last year and another 57 villagers, half of them women and children, in western Afghanistan in April. In both cases, United States Special Forces were responsible for calling in the airstrikes.
Innocent civilians killed in airstrike?
KABUL, Afghanistan - Afghan officials said fighter aircraft battling militants accidentally killed up to 27 Afghans walking to a wedding ceremony in eastern Afghanistan early Sunday, the second military attack in three days with reports of civilian deaths. These reports require us to look at two...
You can trust John McCain.
No you can't!
During the GOP debates, McCain admitted that he didn't know that much about eocnomics than thenhe later denied he said that. He said he opposed torture then he voted to support torture. He said he wasn't for privatizing Social Security but he did support's Bush's plan for privatization.
Why McCain's captivity matters
You would think it would be simple, but I forget that the concepts of Duty, Honor & Country are dirty words to the left/press. None who have served, well none with more than 4 months in the motor pool, wonder what John McCain proved to us. We know that a man who would refuse to be released ahead...

I think Duke's experience is superior to McCain's. Duke was a better warrior.

If military service is so great, then Randall "Duke" Cunningham has more qualifications to be President than McCain. Cunningham was an Ace in the Vietnam War and won the Navy Cross.

Cincinnati_Bob :SteveO.. Socialized medicine sucks in other countries. You're either a put-on or a moron.
No, it doesn't suck. We rank about 10-20, depending on the dependent measure, compared to other developed countries ALL OF WHICH HAVE SOCIALIZED MEDICINE.
LIFE EXPECTANCY FROM AGE 65-69
I came across a comment that said we don't live as long because we live more dangerously than people in other countries, so our life expectancy at birth is naturally less. Here we have life expectancy given that you are from 65 to 69 years old. We still do worse than two of the countries wingnuts routinely malign, France and Canada. Nancy & the Nutroots feeling the Victory Blues
H/T Mighty MM “The nutroots are justifiably disappointed, and I am too, that we could not do something to end this war, and by end I mean lose and blame it on Bush. The assumption that I made, that the Republicans would soon see the light and listen to their constituents, was not an accurate one...
