Happy Birthday, Atlas! I wish I could be there to give you a tummy rum and kiss on the nose. Love you, boy! You are the sweetness dog in blogland. :o) ((HUGS))
it's happy atlas day!
today, atlas is 9, so i am wishing a happy birthday to my dear little puppy. i love him more than the sun, moon, and stars. i love him times a million and forty seven and thirty three. (that's today's number. i make up a new number for him every day.) he is the best four-legged friend a gi...
Oh, Weimenbaum, Oh, Weimenbaum... How lovely are thy...haha... ;o) Couldn't resist, Elizabeth! This is very fun, very sweet... Although, I can kind of see how Atlas might not be wanting to smile. hhhmmm... Happy Day ((HUGS))
dressed in holiday style
yes, there is a reason you cannot see his face. i was in the middle of a project involving a very long strand of twinkle lights. atlas was very unsure about it so i was trying to make him smile. it did not work.
haha... sooo CUTE! Actually, at first I thought maybe you bought Atlas one of those luxury dog beds! He probably thinks that's what this is now! LOL... aaawww... Atlas has a girlfriend--that is so sweet! Are they at the stage of sending dog treats to each other? ;o) LOVED seeing those photos of the doggy ranch--what a WONDERFUL place! Next time you go on vacation, Elizabeth, can I go with Atlas to the doggy ranch?! It looks like such fun there. Thank you for your kind visit and condolences. ((HUGS))
no more monkeys jumping on the bed
i always put atlas' bed on the rebounder while i vacuum the downstairs. i paused my vacuuming efforts yesterday to take a quick photo in the kitchen. while i was doing so, i heard a thump, and came out of the kitchen to see what was going on. this is the sight that greeted me. i am pretty sure...
Oh, how sweet...*sigh*... Savannah is a doll--look at those blue eyes!! It is a special thing to be an aunt, so I know how you feel. My sister's child is the youngest of our crew of nieces and nephews. And especially as I live far away from my sister and her 3 yr old daughter, I miss them tremendously. After she had her girl, it just changed everything--for my family, for me. I hope you will get to see Savannah a lot, Auntie Elizabeth! :o) ((HUGS))
i have a confession to make
i never thought of myself as a baby person. not that i dislike them, just that i don't need to see or cuddle or visit them even if they are around. i have seven siblings and when i was growing up, if i had a choice between baby and chores, i always picked chores; my sister amy picked the baby....
So sweet of Malcolm--footsie treatment kit. He's a keeper. ;o) LOVELY seeing how the summer is there, Anne... We've been picking the first of our raspberries this week. We made a homemade mango sorbet, and with the fresh raspberries on top--WOW! Your Baltimore blocks are looking so good. I like the colors you've chosen. Happy Day ((HUGS))
Pampering!
All this walking may be good for my health, but it is hard on my poor feet! However, Malcolm arrived home with this for me today, so my poor little tootsies can have some love and care lavished on them! This morning was a bit chilly, and there were little ribbons of mist lingering in the v...
What a good idea, that collar...It's hot here today, I could use one of those. ;o) Happy Day, Elizabeth((HUGS))
it's a hot dog
i bought a kool collar earlier this year on impulse and it is surprisingly helpful for a pup that thinks 80 degrees is sweltering. you fill a pouch with ice or use the included water-filled package and it sits on their neck to help keep them cool. it really does seem to help cool atlas down af...

I like taking the bus, though don't very often--so much is within walking distance where we are living now. Fun to sit and watch those on the bus, and out the window. Happy Day, Elizabeth! Oh, I am actually launching a new blog today, with new creative focus--I'm very excited about it. In a few weeks I'll be closing Pink Purl. Thanks for visiting me there. :o) ((HUGS))
Bus
Apparently, the M23 is the slowest bus in Manhattan. This may well be true since it's possible to get where you want to go quicker on foot. However, if you are lazy it works out just fine. You can fool with your phone, or yell into it or play video games. Note the man in the upper right. ...
Inspiring as ever, Britt-Arnild... LOVE these window photos! Have a wonderful time with your friends visiting. Oh, incidentally, I am actually launching a new blog today, with new creative focus--I'm very excited about it. In a few weeks I'll be closing Pink Purl. Thanks for visiting me there. :o)

golden hour
don't you love the warm golden light of summer evenings? whether i have a camera with me or not, i never tire of being outside in it. the sunlight peeks through the treetops and sparkles on the leaves, the shadows dance on the ground, and the golden light works its magic on everyone and everyt...
Beautiful, shadow-filled walk, Anne... this was quite magical! :o) Happy Week ((HUGS))
Shadow Shot Sunday
It's just as well I didn't wait until today to capture some shadows, as thunder is rumbling overhead and it is raining! This week's selection were taken last Sunday when we went for a walk along the River Teviot in Hawick. To see more shadows from around the world, visit Hey Harriet leafy...

So many pretty moments here today, Anne... your floral photography is wonderful. And so are those cupcakes! ;o) I love black cats... they can cross my path anytime, I'm not superstitious. Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
Will you please keep still!
For the past few mornings, I have been trying to take a photo of a tree sparrow, which shouts at me as I go past its territory across the road from the church. Most of the photos have turned out like this ....... ....... because it just won't keep still, but finally, this morning, I manage...
You have the sweetest studio, Jacqueline... LOVE all those little collections and pretty touches. That's a happy space you have to work in. Glad to have this extra peek at your "reative workshop"! :o) Happy Weekend, my friend ((BIG HUGS))
corners of my creative space : a place for my packaging goodies
This week passed quick, and hooray to weekend! All i needed was some warmth and sunshine, and today is brimming with both. A good start to the weekend indeed. As promised in my new series "Corners of my creative space", i wanted to share a few of photos of my little studio space with you this ...

Busy, Busy. . .
The last two weeks have been super, super busy! There are new paintings in the works, an upcoming giclee offering and my first solo exhibit. I've been blessed with unexpected help and opportunities and I'm giddy with gratitude to be honest. I wanted to share a little of the prep work for t...

These photos are quite magical, Elizabeth... I always think zinnias are such happy flowers, you can't help but feel happy to look at them. Oh, good reading you have at the moment. I just love Thomas Hardy. :o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
Fooling with Zinnias
Robert bought an orange zinnia yesterday at Union Square to augment the miniscule garden at the foot of the tree outside our building. It got rather bashed up on the bus --hence the two blooms snipped and popped in a bottle. I-photo, in its infinite wisdom, has given the simple minded th...
Oh... a moment to stop, to breathe, to connect... that felt good! Thanks for the reminder, Elizabeth ;o) Happy Weekend to you & sweet Atlas ((HUGS))
wishing you a moment of stillness
a moment to breathe (in, out) a pause a quiet retreat from the often chaotic rush of daily life {oh, yes. this, along with permission, is closer to the essence of my reiki offering.}
I LOVE when you take us outdoors, Anne...it is just so lovely where you love. The mountain views steal the heart... as do all the flora & fauna. It's like a mini-break just looking at your photos! Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
I told you there were two!!
I quite often show you photos of the Minto Hills - but because of the angle we see them at, you actually only see one. But we went for a walk after lunch round a different route ....... and there they were, the two Mintos! We also saw Ruberslaw from a different angle But to go back to...

SO MUCH food for thought here today, Elizabeth.... my mind is doing somersaults! I think I'm going to have to go back and read this again... Similarly, I stunned as you are. And now I'm thinking, what really motivates me?...hhhmmm... ((HUGS))
thinking about energy
at the moment, i am somewhat obsessed with energy anatomy by caroline myss. (i think i already mentioned this.) i have listened to it at least three times and am pretty sure i'm not done yet. you know how sometimes a book (or a quote or a song or a person or ..) will enter your life in what fe...
