Please don't shy away from the judgment of others. It is so, so valuable to hear honest farm voices and honest stories about the difficult work of caring for lives dependent on your own. This country is so divorced from where its food comes from-- and from the people who provide it-- and being bravely open about your own participation in the system will help others to understand. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that the trust you gain from Cinnamon and Emily eases the pain.

Oh, yes! Hooray for new beginnings. I planted my asparagus this weekend, and it felt so good. You can read about it here: http://sweetfernhandmade.blogspot.com/2011/04/intent-to-flourish.html

Lovely! We're planning on bringing an old door from our current house into our new to-be-moved into house, to use as a headboard. I've been writing lots about our ongoing house renovations on my blog.

Love those flowers, the bump chenille and vintage ones especially. I generally dislike fake flowers-- the storebought plastic ones-- but these are pretty nice. Great collection! Kristina Sweetfern Handmade

Alicia! It's lovely! We are currently in the middle of a giant upstairs bathroom redo of our own-- and I can totally, totally relate to how much chaos and dust and debris in generates. You must be so relieved it's over with.
