Hi Sharon! Thanks so much for your comment! I know just what you mean about baking with your granddaughter! Elsa and I baked several times over the Christmas break and I enjoyed everything way too much! I would just break off one small piece of something, thinking that would suffice...nope! Pretty soon I would have eaten the entire thing and then gone back to break off another small piece! This past week has been just as bad because I was not quite done with my Christmas cooking and baking...so January 6th Ill be back on the wagon! for sure! Happy New Year!
Hi Pam - I’m so glad it worked out so well! Yes, the blocks will be sticky but don’t wash them yet - just sew them together and quilt and bind your quilt as usual then wash the quilt in cold water and put in a hot dryer. It will be soft and perfect! Congrats to the newlyweds! Sent from my iPhone

Hi Jessica - Thanks for your nice comment, we are 100% used to it now and we do love it! Although, the other night when the wind was whipping around and the trees were swaying, I mentioned to the mister that if a tree hit the house I hoped it would take out the new window so we could redo it with MORE glass like we had before and he agreed! Wind storms arent a joke in the Northwest so we quickly came to our senses, grabbed the lanterns as the lights were flickering and discussed the window for the umpteenth time.So maybe I should say we are 90% used to our new window! Happy New Year! Nan

Hi Pamela! Im so happy to hear from anyone who likes an idea I had...its rare that I have an idea and even rarer when someone likes it! I used sorry glue to attach the fabric squares to card-stock, which provided enough support for people to write on the fabric easily. Using an iron-erase marker to outline the square is an excellent idea! Definitely do that, so many people hard trouble staying within the lines. It sounds like youve got things well under control! I can tell you that the permanent fabric markers work great and even after washing the quilt several times, the writing is still really legible. I did have some Sharpie markers for the guests to sign with, those signatures didnt hold up as well as those made with the fabric markers. Good luck to you, Im sure it will be beautiful and loved by the newlyweds! xo, Nan Sent from my iPad

The view fromour windows is important! I hope your new landscaping grows quickly and will bring you many years of enjoyment! Im thankful every day for the greenery that surrounds us - we live in a forest so we just enjoy it and do our best not to kill anything! So far weve succeeded but I know we are just one wind storm away from losing trees! Thanks for the kind words!! ❤ Nan

Yes!!! Isn’t that crazy? 12 cups is correct! It does seem excessive but the jelly isn’t overly sweet and you need that much sugar so it willset up correctly. Give it a try, it’s easy, tastes so good, and makes excellent gifts! Christmas is only 17 weeks away! xoxo Nan Sent from my iPhone
